The Intern-et Podcast: Season 2

This is Internet Podcast, a podcast made by interns for interns. In season 2 of the Internet podcast, we talk with interns from all scopes of the business about their experiences during their internship and what they thought about the Comcast Central Division’s Internship Program as a whole. Tune in to this season to hear more about everyone’s experiences and gain some exposure into what life at Comcast looks like.

This episode is kickstarting season two of the InterNet Podcast by discussing the anticipatory assumptions interns form verses their experiences! Our hosts Gio and Jacqie talk with our first guest, Symone, a HR (Human Resources) intern all about the expectations leading up to commencing an internship with Comcast, how to manage those expectations, and how to channel them into valuable experiences during your internship.

In episode two of the InterNet, our hosts take a seat with Lyndsey Smith, a Business Services Intern from Big South Region to talk about the importance of creating a community as an intern participant. Creating your Community through your mentors, department, and fellow interns is a crucial part of Comcast’s intern experience. There are so many opportunities to network and learn from others at Comcast, in this episode Lyndsey walks us through her experience!
S2 EP 03: The New Kid on the Block: What's it like as a New Intern

Being the new person on a team can often be a lonely experience and one that is sometimes difficult to traverse. In this episode, Even Meyers, a Sales and Marketing Intern from the Greater Chicago Region sits down with our hosts to discuss the newness of being an intern, how it can be scary and intimidating to be developing your career in a new setting, yet this newness also allows room for growth and development that can also be exciting!
S2 EP 04: Typical Days in the Life

In episode two of Intern-et, we sit down with Matt, an Information Technology and Database Engineering Intern, to learn more about the day to day life of interns at Comcast. Matt uses layman’s terms throughout the episode to break down the complexity of his work in IT, for all non-IT savvy people to understand.
S2 EP 05: Making the Most: Capitalize on Your Internship

The summer heat may make the days seem longer, yet in reality, they fly by quickly! If you’re caught off guard, the summer intern experience can fly by just as quickly, with our hosts, Marc Gafoor, a Government Affairs intern for the Big South Region, takes us through his experience and how he has made the most of his time as a summer intern participant.
S2 EP 06: New Chapters and Changes

For many, interning with Comcast starts a pivotal new chapter in their life. Whether it’s their first job and career experience, their first time not being in school, or an opportunity for them to make a career shift, etc., It is a huge change and the beginning of a new chapter! Which is why, on this episode Mason Hill, a finance intern from the Big South region shared with us his experience starting this new chapter with Comcast and how he has navigated the changes!
S2 EP07: Navigating Virtual Horizons

Comcast has a variety of internship opportunities across the U.S. that are feasible by many, including remote internships, after all they do want to “create the future with us!” In this episode, Faidat Agbaje walks us through her experience as a virtual intern as part of the Talent Aquisition team, how she makes the most of working remotely, and her opportunity to visit the Battery in Atlanta. She discusses with our hosts the pivotal elements of the virtual intern experience, which many who are part of our intern cohort have experienced all over the country!
S2 EP08: : A Look Into Oneself: Self Improvement

Our final episode of the season takes a look at all the ways interns can learn and improve themselves during their internship. Tanisha Katoch, who works under the construction and engineering team in the Del Moore office, at the California headquarters discusses with our hosts the many ways she adapted to the expected and unexpected aspects of her internship to learn and grow. Tanisha did not have any prior work experience in construction, so she knew she had room to grow, learn, and network during her intern experience, here she shares how she did with our hosts.
