Job Summary
The Regional Manager, Security Operations, oversees day to day security operations across an assigned region, including physical security, access control, surveillance systems, incident response, and investigative services. This role directly supervises a team of security investigators, setting standards, guiding case strategy, and ensuring lawful, ethical, and high quality investigative practices. The manager partners with cross functional stakeholders and external agencies to protect people, assets, and facilities while advancing regional and enterprise security objectives.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Supervises, mentors, and develops a team of security investigators, providing direction on case strategy, investigative techniques, and reporting standards. Ensures investigations are conducted legally, ethically, and in alignment with company policy and regulatory requirements.
- Establish and maintain investigative standards, case‑management processes, documentation requirements, and quality‑assurance controls. Review findings and approve final investigative reports prior to stakeholder or law‑enforcement engagement.
- Lead and oversee investigations into security incidents, theft, fraud, workplace violence, and other breaches of security; manage escalation protocols and ensure timely, accurate closure
- Manage daily regional operations covering physical security, access control, surveillance systems, and incident response; coordinate resources to mitigate risk and maintain service levels.
- Develop, implement, and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols; conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability analyses and drive remediation.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, guidelines, and industry best practices.
- Supervises a team of security personnel, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Monitors security systems, alarms, and VMS/cameras to identify and respond to potential threats or incidents.
- Maintains relationships with law enforcement agencies and other external partners to enhance security capabilities and intelligence sharing.
- Responds to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, taking appropriate actions and documenting incidents, as necessary.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams, such as IT, HR, Legal, and Facilities, to align security objectives and support organizational initiatives.
- Conducts regular audits and assessments of security controls and processes to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Prepares and presents reports on security operations, incidents, and key performance indicators to senior management.
- Assists in the development and implementation of security awareness training programs for employees.
- Acts as a liaison between security personnel, facility managers, contract service providers, and other stakeholders.
- Assists with the development and implementation of technology and systems.
- Stays updated on industry trends, technologies, and regulations related to security operations.
- Manages the security budget, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost optimization.
- Works flexible hours and is available on call 24/7 as situations warrant.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), as necessary.

Additional Requirements
- Proven experience in security operations management with direct supervision of investigators or investigative teams.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, best practices, and technologies; experience with physical security systems, access control, video surveillance, and incident/case management platforms
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and standards related to security operations.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Experience in conducting security risk assessments and implementing risk mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with physical security systems, access control, video surveillance, and incident management platforms.
- Proficient in using security management software, tools, and technologies.
- Knowledge of emergency response procedures and crisis management protocols.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in an area of study relevant to this position (i.e., Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business, Compliance, Homeland Security, etc.)
Related Work Experience
- Four or more years of progressively responsible corporate security or law-enforcement experience at the supervisory level, including oversight of security operations, crisis management, physical security, critical infrastructure protection, risk controls, loss prevention and investigations.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification or accreditation from a risk or security management program such as: Certified Security Project Manager (CSPM), Associate Protection Professional (APP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Physical Security Professional (PSP), Certified Fraud Investigator (CFE), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI), is a plus.
- Certification from an interviewing and interrogation program such as Wicklander-Zulawski & Associates, John E. Reid & Associates, or LSI Laboratory for Scientific Interrogation, Inc. (SCAN) is a plus.
- Knowledge of Federal, state, or local regulations relevant to the Company (i.e., PCI, CPNI, SOX, HIPAA, and data privacy affecting theft of cable service) preferred.
- Leadership experience with a law enforcement agency, military, or other governmental agency with responsibilities for protecting and securing people and assets preferred.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s), and overtime, as necessary.
- Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
