Organization & TeamOverview

The MachineQ Product team is at the center of enterprise IoT innovation for Comcast. The dynamic team conceptualizes, designs, and develops cutting-edge IoT products, actively exploring uncharted territories of the enterprise IoT landscape to uncover the next wave of innovation.

Working within the Product team also provides the added advantage of cross-functional exposure within MachineQ, including engineering, marketing, operations, and sales. You will gain invaluable knowledge of our industry, be part of our diverse and welcoming culture and receive exposure to other areas of the business, all while working on real life business projects and functions.

Role Description

MachineQ is searching for a dynamic summer intern with a strong passion for technology to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of enterprise IoT (Internet of Things). As a Product Analyst Intern on the MachineQ Product team, you will have the unique opportunity to acquire hands-on experience with state-of-the-art IoT technologies. An intern working on these projects will have the opportunity to demonstrate their adeptness in areas such as market research, technology evaluation, and their ability to absorb potentially new information related to Internet of Things technologies.

As a Product Analyst Intern at MachineQ, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge IoT solutions built on industry-leading hardware. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of MachineQ by conducting market research, engaging with customers, and gaining hands-on field experience.

You’ll collaborate closely with the Product team and gain exposure to all areas of the organization—including Marketing, Operations, Sales, and Engineering—providing a well-rounded understanding of how a dynamic IoT business operates.

As a Product Analyst Intern at MachineQ, you will make an immediate and meaningful impact on our product portfolio from day one. Your work will span a wide range of high-impact initiatives—from supporting customer deployments and identifying new client opportunities, to contributing to strategic projects that influence the long-term direction of the company.

You’ll have the chance to present your insights directly to senior leadership, gaining valuable experience in executive communication. Additionally, this role offers broad exposure across the organization, allowing you to collaborate with cross-functional teams and develop a deep understanding of how Product intersects with Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Operations in a fast-paced IoT environment.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Achieve a basic degree of fluency with MachineQ’s platform, underlying technologies, operational toolsets, features, and solutions portfolio.
  • Work closely with the MachineQ Product team to research, evaluate and test new technologies.
  • Develop proposals on how such technologies would be used in the market along with potential business plans (pricing, markets, etc.)
  • Facilitate comprehensive competitive analysis by delineating strengths, weaknesses, and distinctive characteristics of the market landscape.
  • Contribute to ad hoc market research and proposal development for key enterprise opportunities.
  • Assist with the analysis, tracking of progress, and associated outcomes for customer pilots and other commercial opportunities.
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

PreferredSkills

  • Passion for technology and the Internet of Things (IoT).
  • Possesses a general understanding of business concepts and frameworks.
  • Affinity for conducting research, particular market research and competitive analysis.
  • Familiarity and/or interest in working with hardware and software products. 
  • Knowledge in general Power BI, Jira, and Google influency.
  • Examples of work ethic and interest beyond core curriculum; ability to work independently and cross-functionally. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Preferred Majors: Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, Economics

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating) 
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
