Supervisor - Procurement
Job Summary
Responsible for implementing and supervising day-to-day activities of the Procurement department. Responsible for ensuring proper external procurement, sourcing and contracting of goods and services. Ensures department procedures and objectives are to Company standards. Customarily and regularly directs the work of at least two or more other full-time employees or their equivalent.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
• Support Procurement Managers/ Directors with deal analysis and reporting, contract execution.
• Supports development of procurement strategy and objectives, spend management tactics by providing detailed support on spend analytics.
• Works with business stakeholders across multiple territories/ business units to support procurement strategy development – understanding of business unit needs, the supply market, spend baseline and evolution, and benchmarking.
• Build and manage business stakeholder and supplier relationships – interact with key business stakeholders and suppliers to address business needs, supplier issues and continuous improvement opportunities.
• Own several projects where you will develop spend strategies together with stakeholders, lead execution and be accountable for results.
• Carry out data gathering and analytics on spend information, contract data, market analysis and other required data and reports.
• Build and maintain key stakeholder relationships, with appropriate regular communication, ensuring clear understanding and alignment between their technology plans and procurement’s direction.
• Be able to produce deal documents summaries, quality presentations and reports on a regular basis at a CFO and Procurement Director level, demonstrating a flexible approach to driving financial and non-financial benefits to all business areas.
• Translate business needs into sourcing documents such as RFI’s, RFP’s, RFQ’s or SOW’s.
• Facilitate resolution of escalations – Able to handle escalation processes across matrix teams to ensure there is good alignment. Co-ordinate and lead issue resolution/ problem solving, escalate as required to address identified gaps.
• Collate information/ data from multiple sources, draft proposal, review with stakeholder and cross-functional teams for alignment and approval.
• Ensure end to end – sourcing/ procurement process, procurement best practices, deal approval process are compliant.
• Help develop and deliver procurement initiatives and best practice, including support for the wider Group procurement vision.
• Keep key systems updated to track projects, savings and renewal data.
• Through liaising with the appropriate business areas, own negotiations with suppliers driving the most benefit to Comcast.
• Understand the factors and challenges faced in the Tech industry and be able to use this knowledge to introduce innovation and challenge current business processes.
Support Statement of Work (SOW) reviews
• Plan, track and manage Statement of work (SOW) reviews across BIP categories
• Support mid-year and year-end SOW renewals with BU, Legal, Supplier and Finance Business Operations teams
• Support SOW change orders
• Support commercial and contract negotiations Support Master Service Agreement (MSA) / Master Consulting Agreement (MCA) execution
• Support MSA execution for the new BIP
• Support commercial and contract negotiations Support Request for Proposal (RFP) process
• Support end to end RFP process
• Conduct RFP data analysis to identify RFP outcome and cost saving opportunities – develop a matrix of negotiation scenarios. Support Reporting and Analytics
• Support market intelligence towards BIP technology and consulting service landscape
• Deal analysis and reporting
• Spend and savings analytics and reporting
• Supplier performance monitoring and reporting
• SOW analysis and reporting General
• Support implementation of procurement policies to minimize operational and financial risk
• Challenge existing practices and lead projects to execute improvement to standardize and streamline processes
• Other relevant duties as assigned
Employees at all levels are expected to:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or Information Systems or Technology or Engineering or equivalent education
• 8-11 years of strategic procurement experience in Technology (HW/SW)skills, with large telecom or technology or media company, including a deep understanding of the best practices and appreciation of various technology domains
• Strong background, experience, and knowledge in Contract management (MSA & SOW), Commercial and contract negotiations, sourcing and RFP process, stakeholder and supplier relationship management
• Experience is supplier due diligence
• Experience in market research and analytics
• Experience in spend analytics
• Demonstrated exceptional quantitative and data analysis skills
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills,
• Excellent escalation management skills
• Excellent work ethic, team player, led smaller projects
• Must be a self-starter and multi-tasker with superior time management skills
• Excellent English verbal and written communications skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to stakeholders (internal and external)
• Presentation experience in which have successfully conveyed an idea or decision to key stakeholders
• Ability to work cross-entity, cross-geography enterprise-wide initiatives
• Experience working in global delivery model/ environments
• Worked in a matrix organization and have built constructive and effective relationships
