Comcast’s Technology, Product & Experience (TPX) organization works at the intersection of media and technology. Our innovative teams are continually developing and delivering products that transform the customer experience.
Order Tech (OT) team is responsible for the Order Management Systems, which oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of customer orders across all Xfinity Lines of Business (LOB). The Order Management System orchestrates service-specific policy treatments for various processes, including fraud prevention, fulfillment, provisioning, activation, network management, and billing.

As an AI-Driven Software Development Intern, you will embark on an exciting journey where you will play a key role in shaping the future of intelligent software development. You will be immersed in a dynamic environment, working alongside top-tier engineers to develop and implement solutions that revolutionize the software development lifecycle.
As an AI-Driven Software Development Intern in the Order Tech team, you will:
Collaborate with senior developers to enhance and maintain the Order Management Systems, ensuring seamless end-to-end lifecycle management of customer orders across all Xfinity Lines of Business (LOB).
Leverage AI and machine learning techniques to optimize and automate various aspects of the Order Management System, including fraud prevention, fulfillment, provisioning, activation, network management, and billing.
Utilize AI-driven approaches to software development, such as intelligent code analysis, automated testing, and predictive maintenance.
Participate in code reviews, debugging, and testing to ensure high-quality software delivery, using AI tools to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Contribute to the development of new features and improvements, leveraging your knowledge of AI and related technologies to drive innovation.
Engage in continuous learning and professional development to stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and software engineering.
Work on AI-enhanced projects, such as developing intelligent algorithms for order processing and implementing machine learning models to predict and mitigate potential issues in the Order Management System.
What are some interesting problems the student will work on?
In your role, you'll tackle exciting challenges like using AI tools for automated design, code generation and optimization, leveraging machine learning for predictive maintenance to enhance software reliability, applying AI algorithms for intelligent debugging to improve software quality, utilizing AI-driven testing frameworks for robust validation, and integrating AI into DevOps for automated deployment and seamless software operations.

You’ll be working with the best and brightest minds in Comcast while we roll out Order management system that supports all customer orders. Success in this role is characterized by a higher speed to market, with fewer customer-facing defects and outages.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design and Solutioning: Collaborate with the team to design innovative AI-driven solutions, using AI tools to create and refine software architectures and prototypes.
Automated Code Generation:Utilize AI tools to automatically generate and optimize code, enhancing development efficiency.
Predictive Maintenance: Leverage machine learning models to predict and prevent system failures, improving software reliability and performance.
Intelligent Debugging: Apply AI algorithms to identify, diagnose, and fix bugs swiftly, ensuring high-quality software.
AI-Driven Testing: Implement and utilize AI-driven testing frameworks to conduct thorough and efficient software validation.
Smart DevOps: Integrate AI into DevOps processes for automated deployment, monitoring, and scaling, ensuring seamless and continuous software operations.

PreferredSkills
Programming Languages:Proficiency in Python, Java
Strong problem-solving abilities and an analytical mindset to leverage AI for optimizing software development processes
Knowledge of software development principles, software development lifecycle and object-oriented programming
Understanding of AI/ML concepts and experience with Gen AI/ML tools & frameworks
Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics.
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)
Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
