Job Summary
We are seeking a Golang and AWS Software Engineer who thrives in building large-scale cloud platforms, enjoys solving complex distributed systems challenges, and is passionate about delivering highly reliable services used by millions of customers. Must have skills
- 7+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Strong commercial experience developing backend applications in Golang (Go).
- Deep expertise designing, building, and operating distributed systems on AWS.
- Experience building cloud-native applications leveraging AWS services and modern architectural patterns.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, monitoring, observability, and production support.
- Experience designing scalable, resilient, and highly available software solutions.
- Proven ability to lead technical initiatives, mentor engineers, and influence engineering best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a product-focused engineering mindset.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience with Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and serverless AWS architectures.
- Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code, including AWS CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi.
- Experience working within large-scale consumer platforms or high-traffic distributed systems.
- Experience with MySQL or other relational database technologies.
- Familiarity with architectural governance practices such as ADRs and RFCs.
- Frontend development experience with TypeScript and modern frameworks is beneficial but not essential.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, deploy, and support highly scalable customer-facing products and services.
- Develop robust backend services using Golang, leveraging modern software engineering best practices.
- Architect and implement cloud-native solutions within AWS and Kubernetes environments.
- Build and maintain APIs, integrations, and distributed systems that support large-scale platform operations.
- Drive improvements in code quality, automated testing, observability, CI/CD pipelines, and release automation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and improve system reliability.
- Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams to define technical solutions and influence platform strategy.
- Mentor engineers and contribute to the team's technical direction, architecture, and engineering standards.
