Job Summary

We're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to own cloud infrastructure, system reliability, and observability for the Freewheel BuyerCloud and Revenue Science teams.  Freewheel BuyerCloud (formerly Beeswax) is a massive-scale, highly available, user-friendly programmatic demand-side bidding platform. Revenue Science builds the company's machine learning and AI solutions. Together, these teams run thousands of applications, servers, and containers across multiple regions worldwide — built on AWS and Kubernetes and managed entirely through Infrastructure-as-Code. 

Job Description

  • Design and build infrastructuresolutionsand tooling toprovidehighscalability, reliability, andsub-secondperformance levelsusing industry best practices.

  • Writing code and scripts to support Infrastructure as code (IaC), configuration management, and automated incident resolution.

  • Support and extend theobservabilitystackto capture andalertonany issues.

  • Participate inon-call rotationsand be anescalationcontact for service incidents.

  • Writesystemdocumentation,playbooks,and otherinstructionmanuals.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

MinimumQualificationsandSkills

  • Bachelor’s degree incomputer science,computerengineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • Experience in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems

  • At leastthree(3) years ofadministrationexperience withLinux,AWS,and Kubernetes

  • At leastthree (3)years of experience in configuration management usingCloud Formation, Terraform,andAnsibleor similar.

  • At leastthree (3)years of experience coding in higher-level languages, such as Python, Java, or C++

  • Strong problem-solving skills 

  • Strong verbal / written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications  

  • Certified AWS Solutions ArchitectAssociate

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)

Salary:

Virginia Pay Range: $109,178.41 - $163,767.61

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
