Job Summary

The Vice President, Production leads all aspects of production across Comcast Corporation, overseeing Studio C operations, remote and field production, engineering, leased access, and public access programming nationwide. This executive role ensures excellence in content creation, broadcast delivery, and technical execution while driving innovation and efficiency across all production environments. The Vice President partners closely with corporate communications, marketing, technology, and operations leaders to deliver high-quality productions that advance Comcast’s brand reputation, corporate initiatives, and community engagement.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Vision

  • Define and execute Comcast’s enterprise-wide production strategy encompassing studio, remote, and field production operations.

  • Establish long-term goals, investment priorities, and innovation plans to strengthen production capabilities across all facilities.

  • Ensure production excellence that reflects Comcast’s brand standards, quality benchmarks, and audience expectations.

  • Partner with senior leadership to align production goals with corporate communications, brand, and business strategies.

Operational Oversight

  • Lead all day-to-day operations across Studio C, remote production teams, engineering functions, and field production units.

  • Oversee production budgets, scheduling, staffing, and resource allocation for national and local programming.

  • Ensure seamless coordination between creative, technical, and operational teams to deliver events and broadcasts on time and on budget.

  • Maintain operational standards for safety, compliance, and broadcast quality across all production facilities.

Engineering & Technology Management

  • Oversee production engineering, equipment strategy, and technical infrastructure for studio and remote operations.

  • Ensure systems reliability, redundancy, and scalability across Comcast’s production network.

  • Partner with technology and engineering teams to evaluate and implement emerging production technologies, including automation, IP workflows, and hybrid broadcast systems.

  • Drive standardization of tools, workflows, and systems across production facilities to ensure interoperability and efficiency.

Studio C & Remote Production Leadership

  • Oversee creative and technical operations of Studio C at Comcast Center, including live broadcasts, internal events, and recorded productions.

  • Direct remote and field production activities supporting corporate initiatives, external events, and community storytelling.

  • Ensure consistent production quality, creative innovation, and adherence to brand standards across all projects.

  • Collaborate with communications and marketing teams to plan and execute large-scale events, town halls, and executive programming.

Leased Access & Public Access Management

  • Oversee Comcast’s leased access and public access operations across all markets to ensure compliance with FCC and local regulatory requirements.

  • Support community engagement and local programming efforts that align with Comcast’s corporate citizenship initiatives.

  • Develop governance and operational models that balance public service obligations with production efficiency.

  • Coordinate with legal and compliance teams to manage all public access contracts, scheduling, and reporting requirements.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead a diverse team of production, engineering, and operations professionals across multiple locations.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, accountability, and innovation.

  • Mentor senior leaders and build succession plans to ensure long-term organizational strength.

  • Drive continuous improvement through training, performance management, and professional development programs.

Budgeting & Resource Management

  • Oversee all production budgets, vendor contracts, and capital investment planning.

  • Optimize resource allocation across studio, field, and engineering teams to maximize efficiency and quality.

  • Ensure fiscal discipline and transparency in managing production assets and expenditures.

  • Partner with finance and procurement to evaluate and manage strategic vendor relationships.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Broadcasting, Media Production, or related field (or equivalent experience).

  • 15+ years of experience leading production operations, including studio and remote production management.

  • Proven success overseeing large-scale, multi-location production and engineering teams.

  • Deep understanding of live production workflows, broadcast systems, and technical operations.

  • Strong leadership, budgeting, and organizational skills with experience managing complex operations.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with executive and technical stakeholders.

Preferred:

  • Experience managing leased access or public access programming operations.

  • Familiarity with emerging production technologies, digital broadcast systems, and IP-based workflows.

  • Background in telecommunications, media, and/or large corporate environments.

  • Experience driving innovation in hybrid or remote production models.
