Job Summary

Responsible for overseeing and optimizing the execution and performance of the programs portfolio within the organization. This role requires a highly skilled professional who can coordinate cross-functional resources, provide expert guidance on program management practices, and drive continuous improvement in program delivery processes and tooling. Acts as a technical expert in own area within the organization. May work independently or as part of a team on more complex projects. Provides mentoring and guidance to more junior team members. May be responsible for leading a team but does not directly manage people.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Supports our Program Delivery team with the execution and performance of our Program Portfolio.
  • Articulates the business drivers, support needs, and challenges associated with top Programs
  • Facilitates creation of tooling and other solutions to uncover challenges within programs 
  • Acts as a Program Portfolio Management point of contact for senior management stakeholders.
  • Mentors the organization in Program Portfolio Management practices.
  • Provides expert guidance and leadership for onboarding Project/Program Managers learning how to manage Programs within the Sky/Comcast ecosystems
  • Work with Product and Engineering stakeholders to prioritize programs across the organization. 
  • Captures identified concerns across Program Portfolio. Support stakeholders to build remediation plans and recommendations to address concerns. Leverage partnerships with stakeholders to implement corrective action across organizations to improve Program Portfolio performance
  • Partners closely with Engineering teams to develop, build, and maintain processes and tooling across our program delivery organization
  • Works directly with teams to facilitate unified solutioning for Strategic Initiatives, Initiatives, and Feature handling tooling and systems per TPX unification strategies
  • Educates and trains teams directly on leveraging “evergreen”, automated, and smart solutioning for management and reporting of portfolio projects
  • Works with other organizations to continuously improve business processes.
  • Builds positive and supportive relationships with stakeholders across TPX and other organizations
  • Keeps abreast of new developments in tooling, project management methodologies, agile practices, best practices, and industry standards
  • Consistently exercises independent judgement and discretion in matters of significance
  • Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance
