Sr. Manager, Supply Chain & Logistics - MachineQ
Job Summary
The Senior Manager, Supply Chain & Logistics will oversee daily functions and team members critical to continuity in business-as-usual logistics, fulfillment, and end-to-end supply chain management. Leading the supply chain team as part of MachineQ Operations, the Senior Manager will be responsible for all activities, processes, resources and third-party suppliers involved in the procurement, production, inventorying, distribution, and return of MachineQ hardware and related products. This position will also contribute meaningfully to comprehensive operational process improvement, expanding the capabilities and reach of the team by overhauling existing workflows, and implementing new tools and procedures with scalability as a core focus. The expectation is for relentless innovation and improvement, not a “we’ve always done it this way” approach. The Senior Manager is responsible for quickly achieving fluency with MachineQ’s platform, underlying technologies, operational toolsets, features, and product portfolio. This role also requires quick study and development of subject matter expertise across a complex suite of internal Comcast and external vendor systems for accounting, financial reporting, billing and taxation, inventory management, and order flows. Demonstrable experience with warehousing, fulfillment and inventory management best practices, as well as freight forwarding and multimodal logistics is required. The ideal candidate will also bring industry expertise in packaging hierarchy and optimization of handling and transport strategies across SKUs. Experience in international trade, cross-border movement and in-country fulfillment of complex wireless and technology products, tariffs and customs brokerage, and acting importer/exporter of record requirements is highly preferred. This position requires a creative, autonomous and self-starter approach to driving organizational growth. Critical thinking and attention to detail, a willingness to challenge the status quo, and experience with business process improvement in a fast-paced environment are all key requirements for success. An extremely keen attention to detail, and an ability to manage large volumes of information from disparate systems and sources, are essential requirements. Core Responsibilities
- Lead daily functions and oversee team members critical to stability in all logistics, fulfillment, and end-to-end supply chain functions of the business. Manage and grow an efficient and performant team in sync with business objectives.
- Establish KPIs, reporting and feedback loops to assess and continually measure efficacy of procurement and receipt of goods, inventory management, demand forecasting, fulfillment and return, freight modes and costs, custom configurations and kitting, and other customer and business requirements as necessary.
- Establish, nurture, and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, key suppliers, vendors and third-party service providers across the MachineQ business and broader Comcast ecosystem.
- Source, negotiate and oversee multiple hardware suppliers and manufacturers, ensuring component sourcing, production lead times, air and sea freight and all related dependencies and timelines are met to sustain inventory continuity and revenue assurance across core SKUs.
- Develop multi-disciplinary expertise throughout internal and external systems, including finance and accounting, export compliance, procurement, inventory, sales/CRM, strategic planning and analytics.
- Continually manage and monitor supplier performance, ability to meet quality control requirements and lead times, delivery timelines, special configurations, and other needs of the business. Source and onboard new suppliers and service providers as required.
- Overhaul and redesign, where applicable, existing processes and procedures across the supply chain organization to support the rapid, sustained growth of our customer base and delivery of our products.
- Support large-scale initiatives and customer deployments of MachineQ hardware and software products, inclusive of developing purchasing and delivery strategies, identification and management of project dependencies and timelines, inventory forecasting, and delivery assurance.
- Serve as owner and subject matter expert across supply chain functions for MachineQ, advising leadership on diverse topics such as inventory planning, demand forecasting, fulfillment strategies, contracts and costing, new product development timelines, packaging design, supply chain processes and systems, new vendor and product onboarding, and international trade.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
