Sr. Manager, Connectivity Ops, Licensing & Compliance
Job Summary
Reporting to the Director of XHS Licensing & Field Compliance, the Senior Manager of XHS Licensing & Field Compliance will be responsible for holding state licenses on behalf of Comcast for residential and small business security products. In this role, the Senior Manager will ensure compliance with all security-related requirements for residential and small business security products in Comcast markets to which assigned. The Senior Manager also will ensure Comcast security installation practices conforming with best-in-class industry standards. The role will be based in the field and will involve significant coordination with local market teams to ensure business objectives are met.Job Description
Primary Responsibilities to include but not limited to:
- Maintain required experience and education-related qualifications necessary to personally hold state qualifier licenses
- Ensure Comcast is operating in compliance with all license requirements in states assigned
- Serve as subject matter expert for business on applicable state licensing laws
- Ensure market teams follow business processes in compliance with local permitting requirements
- Ensure local markets correctly maintain records of employee licensing and registration for all state / local licenses pertaining to home security, fire monitoring, HVAC, and electrical
- Serve as subject matter expert on residential and small business security installation practices
- Conduct audits of field installations to ensure proper adherence to code (where applicable) and company standards
- Represent Comcast at regulatory and compliance meetings held at state and local levels
- Participate in state and local level industry associations and serve on industry related boards and committees as appropriate
- Partner with Comcast University in periodic review of installer and sales training materials to ensure conform with licensing requirements / industry best practices on ongoing basis
- Partner with Comcast University to facilitate training related to continuing education units (CEU) requirements for employees where applicable
- Attend continuing education classes related to home security, small business security and fire alarm installation procedures
- Communicate effectively with all levels within Comcast organization, outside vendors, and members of state regulatory bodies
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Business or a Technical field required. Extensive, directly-related experience and self-study may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 5 to 8 years of residential and / or small business security experience
- Licensed Qualified Agent in multiple states (small business license, low voltage electrical license a plus)
- Strong understanding of current and emerging federal, state, and/or local licensing laws and permitting requirements governing the installation, service and sale of burglar, fire alarm and home control products
- Superior knowledge pertaining to security alarms, fire alarms, HVAC thermostat installations, Zigbee products, cameras and small business services
- Ability to travel regularly across Region / Division footprint assigned to Corporate HQ and to other locations as needed
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong analytic and planning skills
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills with a demonstrated ability to execute against multiple projects and excel in a fast-paced, results-oriented work environment
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Salary:
Pay Range: This job can be performed in Colorado, Illinois, Maryland, and Minnesota with a Pay Range of $115,810.30 - $191,087.00
