DUTIES: Provide technical leadership in installing, configuring, and supporting SAP NetWeaver ABAP and Java applications; design, build, and support the SAP BRIM solution by installing S/4HANA, convergent mediation, and convergent charging in a cloud environment; provision and administer SAP applications including S4/HANA on the SAP private and public cloud; write scripts using Shell and SQL to automate SAP BASIS operations; monitor SAP systems (including S/4HANA, Web Dispatcher, and Convergent Mediation) and their work processes, including users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, and disk space; integrate applications with IT Service Management tools, including ServiceNow, for incident and alert management; manage day-to-day operations of the SAP BRIM system, including monitoring performance, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring data integrity; apply software updates, patches, and upgrades to keep the system current and secure; implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery procedures to ensure the availability of critical business data; optimize the system performance to ensure fast and efficient processing of billing and revenue management transactions; create and maintain user accounts, roles, and permissions to control access to the SAP BRIM system; integrate SAP security solutions with other technologies and systems, such as identity management, network security, and cloud services; provide technical support to users and resolve issues related to SAP BRIM functionalities and processes; investigate and resolve security incidents, including conducting security audits and risk assessments; ensure that the SAP BRIM system complies with regulatory and industry standards, including data privacy and security regulations; drive issues through closure by engaging all appropriate resources; lead technical bridges and provide troubleshooting direction; provide guidance and recommend solutions to complex technical issues; act as an advocate for Engineering Operations procedures, policies and processes; ensure projects are fully integrated into the operations environment including lifecycle problem management from front line CARE through Engineering; create data and metric systems to track operational workflows; maintain records of results and feedback; analyze data and metrics, identify problem areas, and provide actionable insight to management; provide input to engineering and vendors on defects and required enhancements; attain all relevant industry standard technical certifications; report performance related to operations and project status to management; identify and recommend areas requiring change or modification; perform complex and routine maintenance tests for designated areas of engineering; identify and isolate issues; ensure that all maintenance is properly validated to minimize subscriber impact is ideally zero; serve as team lead on multiple projects, often spanning different engineering disciplines within the organization; lead the integration of projects into operations including instrumentation, automation, standardization and methods/procedures; and guide and mentor junior level engineers. Position is eligible for 100% remote work.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and five (5) years of experience installing, configuring, and supporting SAP NetWeaver ABAP and Java applications; of which three (3) years include designing, building, and supporting the SAP BRIM solution by installing S/4HANA, convergent mediation, and convergent charging in a cloud environment; provisioning and administering SAP applications including S/4HANA on the SAP private and public cloud; writing scripts using Shell and SQL to automate SAP BASIS operations; monitoring SAP systems (including S/4HANA, Web Dispatcher, and Convergent Mediation) and their work processes, including users, system logs, short dumps, locks, developer traces, system traces, and disk space; and integrating applications with IT Service Management tools, including ServiceNow, for incident and alert management.
