Job Summary
The Facilities Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day facilities operations of assigned spaces across the Comcast Corporate Campus. This role ensures that all environments are safe, functional, and maintained to Comcast’s high standards while proactively supporting operational excellence, vendor performance, and an exceptional workplace experience. This is an office‑critical role requiring a consistent on‑site presence to effectively support real‑time facilities operations and campus needs.Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for facilities operations within assigned spaces, ensuring timely resolution of issues and clear communication with stakeholders.
- Oversee day-to-day facilities operations, including work order lifecycle management (intake, prioritization, vendor assignment, tracking, and verification of completion), vendor coordination, and execution of facility-related tasks and projects, with a focus on quality, timeliness, and customer experience.
- Conduct routine and strategic floor inspections to identify issues, prioritize corrective actions, and ensure spaces meet Comcast operational and presentation standards.
- Coordinate and oversee vendors and union trades, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with scope, safety requirements, and company standards.
- Support facilities-related projects from initiation through completion, including scope coordination, scheduling, vendor management, and progress tracking against timelines.
- Assist in managing project financials by requesting proposals, reviewing quotes, tracking costs, and ensuring accurate invoice submission and approval.
- Coordinate facilities support for events and campus activities, including vendor logistics, insurance documentation, and building access requirements in partnership with Security, Events, and other stakeholders.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with space owners, internal partners, and stakeholders through proactive communication, responsiveness, and consistent follow-through.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes and support the development and refinement of standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Partner with building management and engineering teams to coordinate maintenance and repairs related to HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.
- Ensure assigned spaces remain compliant with Company standards, OSHA regulations, and safety requirements.
- Support after-hours operations, critical incidents, and participate in the on-call rotation as required.
- Contribute to department initiatives and cross-functional efforts that enhance operational efficiency and workplace experience.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience in facilities operations, vendor coordination, or a related field.
- Experience managing work orders, vendors, and supporting projects in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on internal stakeholder engagement and high-quality customer support.
- Working knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing coordination.
- Experience with CMMS/work order systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, adapt to changing priorities, and operate with a sense of urgency.
