Job Summary

This key role would be responsible for coordinating and tracking multiple team projects, ensuring these efforts stay on track to meet strict deadlines. The projects can be of various degrees of complexity and will include coordination of numerous groups and departments, critical thinking and problem solving.

Job Description

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage, problem solve, and communicate across the enterprise to drive successful initiatives.
  • Work through the technical, business, operational and legal/compliance questions that develop surrounding the Xfinity Mobile network workstreams.
  • Partner with Management, other Project Managers, Architects and Legal to develop achievable completion dates and prioritize/de-prioritize efforts.
  • Document all aspects of the project including requirements, risks, issues, project schedule, and meeting agendas/notes
  • Quickly escalate issues to other groups or departments where support needed and track for resolution and completion.
  • Anticipate resource needs based on project schedules and expected throughput.
  • Support off-hours schedules, as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Demonstrate excellent facilitation skills, very strong follow through abilities and strong ownership of initiatives and issues – ability to drive team to resolutions and delivery.
  • Proficiency with Jira, Smartsheet, PowerPoint, Visio – Tableau preferred.
  • Self-motivated, and able to efficiently manage simultaneous projects
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact with technical and non-technical teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and 10+ years of Project Management experience
  • PMP certification strongly preferred

NICE TO HAVE

  • Technical knowledge / understanding of 5G /4G LTE technologies, device and network ecosystem.
  • Experience in MNOs with network performance testing, optimization churn prediction initiatives.

Core Responsibilities

  • Drives the scope of programs as defined by the business requirements and budget process.
  • Leads key planning milestones for technical projects.
  • Consults on the overall technical program management framework for an initiative.
  • Ensures the technical program roadmap is prioritized and developed.
  • Identifies, confirms and obtains participation from required cross-functional teams. Ensures team clearly understands roles and responsibilities for the duration of the program.
  • Leads the development and management of program plans. Facilitates and drives the core team to identify and schedule all the work for end-to-end deployment required to fulfill program scope. Ensures management of upstream and downstream dependencies.
  • Identifies business and operational goals and successes criteria, drives the development and implementation of key goals, objectives and successes criteria for the program with key stakeholders and core team. Raises conflicts and resolves with the appropriate level of management engagement to build consensus. Obtains and assigns resources to the program plan.
  • Determines the cost and budget; performs resource forecasting.
  • Analyzes areas of risk to avoid risky activities by identifying and managing critical paths and risk areas. Establishes contingency plans and identifies trigger events and assumes responsibility for initiation corrective actions.
  • Identifies and helps the team make program tradeoffs to balance scope, time and costs. Ensures proper documentation.
  • Analyzes the actual performance against the plan and makes adjustments consistent with plan objectives. Drives action item resolution and tracks completion. Ensures program milestones are accomplished and ensures overall committed timelines are met. Ensures documentation of all major plan changes in scope, approach and date delivery.
  • Leads senior executive readouts about program status, changes, escalations and business case assessments. Works with Enterprise Program Management and Program Managers to ensure appropriate processes and communications are followed.
  • Ensures quality of program deliverables. Leads core team and key field resources to develop and monitor deployment schedule, strategies and tools to support the implementation of programs in the field through trials and controlled customer deployments.
  • Contributes to the development and implementation of program management best practices.
