Job Summary

The Sr. Manager, Internal Communications develops and executes employee communications and engagement strategies in support of our residential products and services. These strategies enable our teammates to be enthusiastic and knowledgeable product ambassadors across our connectivity and core product experiences. This position reports to an Executive Director and collaborates with other leaders and peers on the team. The role requires the ability to counsel key business leaders on their employee engagement objectives, and to develop and manage communications and content for employees across our Corporate and Connectivity + Platforms teams. The ideal candidate is exceptional at written and verbal communications, is creative and drives new ideas and champions strategies and tactics that facilitate employee engagement. This job is an individual contributor role that does not have direct responsibility or supervision of staff.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develops and executes communications strategies that drive employee engagement, product awareness and knowledge for our Xfinity business, including our Internet, Mobile, Home and Video experiences.
  • Supports the launch of new products and services and our overall go-to-market strategy with employee-centric campaigns.
  • Counsels and supports leaders on the best communications approach to achieve desired outcomes. Manages through influence and builds trusting relationships.
  • Develops rich, relevant content; keeps communications fresh, creative, and engaging; regularly develops and explores new ideas and strategies.
  • Writes and edits Intranet content, FAQs, Talking Points, leadership messages, etc. Writes effectively and with appropriate tone for internal audiences.
  • Designs and produces high-quality visual content including digital signage, newsletters and presentations and advises on the creation of video content such as employee spotlights, testimonials and product experience overviews.
  • Ensure all content aligns with brand guidelines and enhances the employee experience.
  • Project manages and executes employee events and activations with excellence.
  • Partners and consults with Internal Communicators across the company to ensure alignment and the effective dissemination of relevant messaging and materials.
  • Uses data and analytics to assess and improve strategies.
  • Manages consultants/contracted resources as needed, including graphic designers, creative agencies, event planning firms, etc.
  • Strong expertise in graphic design and video production is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.
  • Six to seven+ years of experience as a communicator.
  • Experience navigating large, complex organizations and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Highly professional and comfortable interacting and consulting with senior executives across the organization; the ability to develop effective partnerships at all levels.
  • Experience managing many projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience executing high-impact deliverables across a range of tactics and mediums: written, presentation, events, videos, social platforms, digital content and more.
  • Experience in applying change management methodology is desired.
  • Efficient, fast-working, and results-oriented.
  • Ability to work independently and within a deadline-driven environment.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and 365 applications (OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Share Point.
  • Proficiency in graphic design applications (Adobe Express, Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, and Canva, etc.) and working knowledge of video production.
  • Role is based at Comcast Headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.
