About the Role / Team:

The Manager, Strategic Planning plays a critical role within CONNECT, Comcast’s network and connectivity organization within Technology & Product. CONNECT is responsible for building and operating the platforms that deliver reliable, high-performance Internet and IP services at national scale—spanning access and core networks, transport, edge compute, and the systems that enable automation, observability, and resiliency.

This position serves as a central point of integration across Product, Program, Portfolio, Finance, Engineering, and Business Development to support the company’s highest-priority network and technology initiatives. This role partners closely with senior leadership, including the Chief Network Officer and CTO Office, to define, structure, and advance complex, high-visibility programs. The individual will translate strategic concepts into actionable plans, measurable business outcomes, and executive-ready materials to support decision-making. This role will directly manage and provide day-to-day coaching of junior team members. In addition, this role will serve as a key contributor to CONNECT’s artificial intelligence strategy—helping to drive adoption, integration, and shape long-term investment priorities in AI infrastructure.

This is an excellent opportunity for a collaborative, analytical problem-solver who is comfortable operating in ambiguity, influencing across a matrixed organization, and driving clarity and alignment on the most important initiatives.

What You’ll Do:

  • Translate complex technical, financial, and operational concepts into clear, concise narratives tailored to executive audiences
  • Act as a strategic integration point across Product, Finance, Engineering, Business Development, and Sales to ensure alignment on priorities, value, and execution
  • Support the development and advancement of CONNECT’s highest-priority initiatives, ensuring clear strategic framing, defined success metrics, and alignment to business objectives
  • Create executive-ready materials (e.g., presentations, investment proposals, operating reviews) to inform senior leadership decision-making
  • Partner with Finance to build and refine business cases, including investment tradeoffs, ROI modeling, and performance tracking
  • Support capital planning and portfolio prioritization through structured frameworks and data-driven recommendations
  • Conduct competitive, industry, and market analysis to inform strategic direction and identify growth opportunities
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define business requirements, track progress, and support execution of key initiatives
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators to ensure initiatives deliver measurable business impact
  • Drive AI-enabled productivity by identifying and scaling best practices for AI-assisted research, analysis, and content development
  • Advise on the application of AI across network operations
  • Support the development of AI infrastructure strategy in alignment with enterprise priorities

The ideal candidate has:

  • Strong financial and strategic thinking, with the ability to structure complex investment decisions and drive clear recommendations
  • Ability to engage directly with senior technical leaders (CTO Office, Fellows, Distinguished Engineers) and translate innovation into commercial opportunities
  • Comfortable operating at the intersection of technology and business, translating complex technical concepts into clear narratives and monetization strategies
  • Acts as a cross-functional integrator, driving alignment across Product, Engineering, Finance, and Business Development
  • Excellent executive communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive clarity in ambiguous environments
  • Analytical and structured problem-solver who can bring order to complex technical and strategic challenges
  • Demonstrates strong ownership and bias toward action in high-visibility, fast-moving initiatives
  • Curious and forward-looking, with an interest in AI, network infrastructure, and emerging technology trends

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred
  • 5 - 7 years of experience in strategy, product management, finance, consulting, or a related field
  • Experience working in or supporting technology, telecommunications, or infrastructure-related organizations
  • Experience developing business cases, financial models, and supporting investment decisions
  • Experience supporting or leading large-scale capital planning, infrastructure investments, or portfolio prioritization
  • Experience working across matrixed organizations and partnering with Product, Engineering, Finance, and Business Development teams
  • Experience developing executive-level materials and presenting to senior stakeholders
  • Familiarity with AI/ML systems, network technologies, or distributed infrastructure environments is a plus
