Manager, Editorial Strategy
Job Summary
The Manager, Editorial Stategy supports Comcast’s communications teams by managing influencer relationships, driving editorial content strategies, and amplifying local brand storytelling. This role ensures influencer programs and editorial efforts are aligned with corporate priorities while resonating with local audiences to enhance engagement and strengthen Comcast’s brand reputation.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
Influencer Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute field-level influencer strategies that support Comcast’s brand goals and local market priorities.
- Identify, recruit, and manage relationships with regional influencers, advocates, and content creators.
- Coordinate influencer campaigns—briefing, deliverables, tracking, compensation, and reporting—to maximize impact.
- Monitor influencer performance and provide optimization recommendations to increase reach, engagement, and ROI.
Editorial Content & Storytelling
- Lead editorial planning for local markets—ideating, coordinating, and curating stories that resonate locally.
- Work with content and creative teams to develop editorial assets (written, visual, video) for field distribution.
- Ensure consistency in brand voice, messaging, and style while allowing for regional adaptation.
- Oversee the content calendar for local markets in support of campaigns, regional priorities, and local stories.
Collaboration & Amplification
- Partner with field communications teams to integrate influencer and editorial content into broader campaigns.
- Align influencer and editorial work with paid, earned, and owned content channels for amplification.
- Train and support field comms teams in leveraging influencer content and editorial assets in local markets.
Measurement & Optimization
- Define KPIs for influencer and editorial programs (engagement, reach, conversions, content performance).
- Track performance, derive insights, and provide recommendations to improve future campaigns.
- Report results and learnings to leadership and stakeholders to inform strategy adjustments.
Governance & Compliance
- Ensure influencer contracts, disclosures, and content adhere to legal, regulatory, and brand guidelines.
- Oversee editorial review processes, approvals, and alignment with brand standards.
- Monitor for reputational risk and manage escalation procedures as necessary.
Other Responsibilities
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years of experience in influencer marketing, editorial content, or communications roles.
- Proven ability to manage influencer programs and editorial strategies within a large enterprise.
- Strong storytelling, editorial judgment, and content development skills.
- Excellent relationship-building and project management skills.
- Experience tracking metrics and using analytics to improve content/influencer programs.
Preferred:
- Experience in regional or field models, working with local markets or geographic segmentation.
- Familiarity with influencer platforms, content management systems, or digital editorial tools.
- Knowledge of FTC influencer rules, disclosures, and brand safety practices.
- Experience working in media, telecommunications, or consumer brands.
