Job Summary

DUTIES: Design and develop new software and web applications using AWS cloud infrastructure and management tools, including CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail; build CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Concourse, GitLab CI/CD, and CircleCI; design and manage containerized applications using ECS, EC2, Kubernetes, Docker, and OpenShift; automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management tasks using CloudFormation, AWS CLI, Concourse Pipelines, and Bash Scripts; work with TCP/IP, routing, and firewalls; write scripts for automation tasks using Python and Bash; use version control systems, including Git and Mercurial; analyze cloud usage using cloud cost management tools, including AWS Cost Explorer; ensure cloud security using WAF, CrowdStrike, and OPENS; work in a DevOps environment; support applications under development and customize current applications; assist with the software update process for existing applications, and roll-outs of software releases; analyze, test, and assist with the integration of new applications; document all development activity; research, write, and edit documentation and technical requirements, including software designs, evaluation plans, test results, technical manuals, and formal recommendations and reports; monitor and evaluate competitive applications and products; review literature, patents, and current practices relevant to the solution of assigned projects; collaborate with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements; conduct analysis to determine integration needs; work with the Quality Assurance team to determine if applications fit specification and technical requirements.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience developing software using AWS cloud infrastructure and management tools, including CloudFormation, CloudWatch, and CloudTrail; building CI/CD pipelines using Concourse; designing and managing containerized applications using ECS and Docker; automating infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and management tasks using CloudFormation, AWS CLI, Concourse Pipelines, and Bash Scripts; of which one (1) year includes working with TCP/IP and firewalls; writing scripts for automation tasks using Bash; using version control systems, including Git or Mercurial; analyzing cloud usage using cloud cost management tools, including AWS Cost Explorer; ensuring cloud security using WAF, CrowdStrike, and OPENS; and working in a DevOps environment.
