Job Summary

Our Corporate Employee Communications team oversees business-critical communications to these employees and key internal stakeholders to ensure we’re all driving toward our company goals. The team is seeking a Director of Internal Communications to support and execute employee communications and engagement strategies on behalf of the Growth Team, which is responsible for our Xfinity business and brand, including residential products and services, sales and marketing and more. This position reports to the Vice President of Internal Communications and collaborates with Growth Team leadership and key partners, including HR and Finance. The ideal candidate is a strategic communications leader, with exceptional written and verbal communications, bringing creativity and new ideas to best facilitate employee engagement, change management, and business goals. This position has one direct report.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Directs communications strategies and campaigns to support key business objectives tied to long- and short-term goals for the Growth Team.
  • Interacts with and supports Growth Team leaders and key partners on the best communications approach to achieve desired outcomes. Manages through influence and builds trusting relationships.
  • Writes and executes communications plans – including but not limited to Intranet content, internal social platform content, digital signage, FAQ, talking points, videos, leadership messages, etc. Writes effectively and with appropriate tone for internal audiences.
  • Keeps communications fresh, creative and engaging; regularly develops and explores new ideas and strategies, while also establishing and reinforcing communication best practices.
  • Supports project management and executes tactics for employee events and activations with excellence.
  • Uses metrics to provide analysis with a “continuous improvement” approach.
  • Interacts with consultants/contracted resources as needed, including graphic designers, creative agencies, event planning firms, etc.
  • Graphic design and video production experience is highly desirable.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent.
  • 8 to 10 years of experience in communications or related field.
  • Strong professional demeanor and comfort interacting and consulting with senior executives.
  • Experience partnering and working with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience executing deliverables across a range of tactics and mediums: events, written, presentation, videos, digital content and more.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office and 365 applications (OneDrive, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Share Point.
  • Proficiency in graphic design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, etc.) and video production a plus.
  • Role is based at Comcast Headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
