Organization & TeamOverview
The My Account team is part of Comcast’s Technology & Product organization. This team is responsible for the post-purchase customer experience across millions of users. We manage critical customer interactions, including payments, billing, user preferences, Account management, device management, appointments, and more. Our platform collectsover $700 million in payments monthly and supports millions of daily users. The team is composed of talented engineers, designers, and product managers who work collaboratively to deliver seamless and secure digital experiences.
Role Description
Are you passionate about building scalable web applications that impact millions of users? Do you enjoy solving real-world problems with modern technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment?
As a Software Development Intern on the My Account team, you will contribute to the development of customer-facing features using React.js and TypeScript. You’ll work on high-impact features that improve how customers manage their services, make payments, and interact with Comcast. You’ll gain hands-on experience in full-stack development, API integration, and agile software practices.
What are some interesting problems the student will work on?
Interns will work on real-time customer-facing features that impact millions of users daily. They will help optimize payment workflows that process over $700 million monthly, improve device management interfaces, and enhance user preference settings. Students will also tackle performance bottlenecks, accessibility challenges, and contribute to scalable React.js components using TypeScript.
Where can this student make an impact?
Interns will directly contribute to improving the post-purchase experience for Comcast customers. Their work will help reduce friction in critical interactions like payments, appointments, and device setup. By building reliable and intuitive interfaces, they will enhance customer satisfaction and retention. Their contributions will be visible to millions of users and will support Comcast’s mission to deliver seamless digital experiences.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and maintain front-end components using React.js and TypeScript
Collaborate with engineers and designers to implement responsive, accessible UI/UX
Integrate with RESTful APIs and contribute to back-end service interactions
Write clean, maintainable, and type-safe code
Participate in code reviews and agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
Assist in writing unit and integration tests using Jest and React Testing Library
Document technical processes and contribute to team knowledge sharing
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
PreferredSkills
• Experience with React.js and TypeScript
• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript (ES6+)
• Understanding of RESTful APIs and asynchronous programming
• Basic knowledge of Git and version control workflows
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Interest in scalable web applications and customer experience
Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)
Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
