Organization & TeamOverview
Comcast’s Global Product Organization (GPO) works at the intersection of media and technology. Our innovative teamsare continually developing and delivering products that transform the customer experience. From creating products like Air UI powered by Ent OS to streaming services like XUMO TV, we work every day to make a positive impact through innovation in the pursuit of building amazing products that are enjoyable, easy to use and accessible across all platforms. The team also develops and supports our evolving network architecture, including next-generation consumer systems and technologies, infrastructure and engineering, network integration and management tools, and technical standards.
Our team is focused on automating linear channel deployments including but not limited to Cloud DVR, Alternate content (blackouts, Advertising), compression, packaging. We are creating new products and designing innovative ways to manage large complex video networks both within Comcast and for Comcast syndicated business. As a member of this team, you will have a direct impact on achieving these goals and contribute to lowering operation costs leading to business growth opportunities.
Role Description
Do you love to write code? Are you passionate about learning software artisanship? Would you like to work on projects with tangible impact? Would you like to understand how to deploy and manage software applications at scale? As a Coop with the Linear Video team, an organization within the Video IP Engineering and Research (VIPER) organization, youwill work with a talented agile team of software engineers who design, develop, document, and deploy applications responsible for configuring the IP streaming video platform.
You will be a member of an agile software development team. You will be given specific prioritized software development tasks to complete. You will pair with senior engineers who will train you on development processes/methodologies andtechnology. You will have opportunities to work with experts in the video engineering field. You will also work withoperation and test teams to help deploy and troubleshoot field issues associated with our products. There are many interesting challenges with building large scale systems. You will be part of a team solving scaling issues both within an application and within the network. You may be asked to solve application performance issues from database reads to web services or just optimizing algorithms. You will have the opportunity to explore human factors engineering by contributing to the design and functionality of the application user interface.
Success in this role will be contribution to products that result in higher more reliable time to market with a reduction in configuration complexity and operational cost.

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.
- Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting March 30, 2026, through September 18, 2026.
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
- Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting
