Organization & TeamOverview

The Comcast Cyber Security organization designs, develops, enables security, and supports innovative products and services that bring broadband, wireless, video and voice experiences to residential and business customers throughout the world, with more than 57 million customer relationships across the U.S. and Europe. The team works to ensure the performance of our Multi-Factor Authentication tools for Xfinity, and Sky customers, these are operations, and mission-critical systems. 

Our team interacts with multiple stakeholders across several organizations, ensuring the high reliability of our systems, and the protection of our customer accounts.

Role Description

Are you passionate for software development? Do you like big challenges and working within a highly motivated team environment? Would you like to learn how mobile libraries (iOS/Android) enable MFA capabilities for multiple applications serving millions of subscribers?

As a Co-op on the CCS/CMFA team, you will learn, and contribute, to the tools that keep our customer accounts secure, you will be exposed to a multi-layer implementation, learn how the serverless infrastructure is setup, how our microservices work, what does our team do to automate and perform regression to ensure quality on our products, and contribute to our mobile libraries for iOS, and Android. 

What are some interesting problems the student will work on? 

In your role, you will collaborate with the team to define requirements, analyze improvements, and address needs from our stakeholders, working together with our planning, and product teams to establish the line of work.  Trace defects through a cutting-edge service-oriented architecture to find root cause. Develop fixes, and features to improve the security, and user experience of our MFA solutions. 

Where can this student make an impact? 

You’ll be working with the best and brightest minds in Comcast while we continue to support, and rollout our MFA solution, and related features.  Success in this role is characterized by a higher speed to market, with fewer customer-facing defects and zero outages.

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Analysis of requirements.

  • Definition of requirements based offdifferent levels of documentation.

  • Development of fixes or new features for our mobile libraries.

  • Ensuring unit test cases are written for all new code.

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

PreferredSkills

  • Development-related experience

  • Understanding of REST APIs

  • Preferred Majors: Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university

  • Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)

  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating) 

  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026

  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs

  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
