Organization & TeamOverview
The Comcast Business PMO provides project management support to customers who are migrating their telecommunications services from a current provider to Comcast Business. Our product portfolio encompasses wide-area networking, voice services, and cybersecurity solutions. Our goal is to migrate customers with the highest level of customer service, on time, and within budget. These projects ultimately lead to revenue realization for the company, fueling major business objectives and facilitating corporate growth.
Role Description
This opportunity will give you insight into the inner workings of the telecommunications industry. You will be introduced to tools and processes that are commonly used by telecommunications companies worldwide. In this role, you will:
- Assist with onboarding new customers
- Utilize formal processes and tools
- Manage risks and changes
- Develop and manage project plans, action registers, and milestone trackers
- Coordinate activities with cross-departmental team members
- Address issues and problems
- Review and actupon stalled or overdue tasks
What are some interesting problems the student will work on?
In your role, you will be paired with an experienced Project Manager who will guide you through our tools and processes. You will participate in meetings with customers and internal stakeholders, keep detailed meeting minutes, follow up on action items, and ensure tasks are completed on time.

You will be directly involved with migration projects and satisfying the needs of our customers. To deliver the best possible customer experience, you will identify and resolve problems, mitigate risks, and track milestones to ensure the timely completion of tasks. Project managers are on the front lines with our customers, often anticipating challenges and proactively engaging key stakeholders to solve problems.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Provides research and assistance to leadership in the development and design of new projects.
- Uses formal processes and tools to manage resources, budgets, risks, and changes.
- Manages project status and information through formal briefings, project update meetings, and written, electronic, and graphic reports.
- Develops, maintains, and manages detailed project plans, action item registers, and major milestone timelines for all assigned projects. Provides overall prioritization and directionfor work assignments, team resources,and other related tasks. Monitor and create project deliverables.
- Coordinates with other work streams, projects, and initiatives that may impact the successful completion of the project.
- Manages all assigned projects to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting of budgetary demands, and maintaining overall project ownership.
- Facilitates project meetings.
- Addresses problems through risk management and contingency planning and presents solutions and/or options to executive management. Ensures effective implementation of solutions/changes.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
PreferredSkills
- Pursuing a degree in data science with skills in automation or pursuing cybersecurity and interested in learning about project management in deploying SASE platformBasic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, switching, OSI model)
- Familiarity with telecom products (VoIP, MPLS, SD-WAN)
- Basic programming or scripting
- Network security basics
- Knowledge of cloud networking (AWS, Azure)
- Technical background preferred
- Preferred Majors: Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, Network Engineering, Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Business
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
- Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)
- Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
- Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
- Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
