Organization & Team Overview
The Comcast Summer Fellow will work during the regular business hours of Comcast's legal department to gain substantive in-house experience in corporate practice. They will support a variety of substantive areas within the legal department including Corporate Transactions, Commercial Transactions, Commercial Litigation, IP Transactions and Litigation, Product Counseling, Regulatory Compliance and Employment. To be successful, this individual must proactively and creatively address the needs of various legal groups while balancing competing work assignments. In addition to their work assignments, the student will participate in various training seminars, workshops, panels, networking events and pro bono services.
Role Description
This internship opportunity is available to applicants who have been nominated by the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group (PDLG) Fellows Program.
The Comcast Summer Fellow will work during the regular business hours of Comcast's legal department to gain substantive in-house experience in corporate practice. They will support a variety of substantive areas within the legal department including Corporate Transactions, Commercial Transactions, Commercial Litigation, IP Transactions and Litigation, Product Counseling, Regulatory Compliance and Employment. To be successful, this individual must proactively and creatively address the needs of various legal groups while balancing competing work assignments. In addition to their work assignments, the student will participate in various training seminars, workshops, panels, networking events and pro bono services.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Research legal questions
- Draft memos and other legal documents
- Participate in internal meetings and meetings with outside counsel, opposing counsel and/or regulatory bodies
- Identify opportunities for internal process improvements
- Support special projects or assignments
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance; and
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communications, ability to work both independently and with a team, willingness to assist in areas outside of direct assignments when necessary, and commitment to self‐improvement and completion of team objectives.
- Demonstrated organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with consistently high‐quality work product.
- A keen attention to detail.
- Prior experience working for or with attorneys a plus.
- Experience with the preparation of presentations/slide decks, metrics, and written reports.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze facts and identify issues, collect data/evidence, and draw valid conclusions.
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
- Fellow must be nominated by the Philadelphia Diversity Law Group- PDLG in order to be eligible
- Bachelor’s degree and enrollment in a JD program at an accredited law school required
- Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting May 18 through July 24, 2026
- Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
- Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting

Salary:
Base Pay: $45.00
