Organization& TeamOverview
TheData and AIOrganization(D&A) sits at the forefront of the Comcast data ecosystem, supporting data and AIinitiativesacross the enterprise. Within D&A, the Dataand AI Governance and Automation teamworksto provide strategy for development and execution for data management practices. The team leads in privacy, metadata, taxonomy, process, and governance, collaborating with stakeholders across the company.
Role Description
If you are interested in being at the intersection of data and AI, this rolewill give you a glimpse into the innerworkings of data at scale, supporting AI across Comcast.
Asa data managementCo-op, you willworksupportthe organization’s enterprise-wide data governance andmanagementstrategy.As part of this team, this co-op will be on the Metadata and Taxonomy team and will assist in metadata and taxonomy creation, maintenance, and outreach including (but not limited to):
Supporting the rollout ofMetaHub, an in-house developed data management platform
Contributing to theD&A Portal, the primary metadata repository
Providing data analysis on projects and programs toidentifygaps/issues and provide recommendations for adjustments
Participate inprivacy data classification reviews
Support the migration of a Teradata database toSnwoflake,in particular theimplementation of data access controls on the new platform
What are some interesting problems the student willwork on?
This role will help to build the foundation for AI at Comcast, driving classification reviews, enabling trusted data, andrepresentinghumanin the loop practices.They willassistinsolving fordata management gaps and implementtacticalinitiativesthat drive datastrategy.
Where can this student make an impact?
Thisrolewill work across multiple organizations to roll out data management practices that will enable trusteddata for continued growth. Success in this role is characterized byimplementingtrusted metadata and taxonomy classifications supporting over 1000 internal applications.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Supporting metadata and taxonomy implementation via the D&A portal,MetaHub, and Privacy Programs.
Updates to the data catalog to support the Data Accountability Framework
Outreach and reporting onMetaHubactivities
Reviewing and updating Data Access Control, Taxonomy, and Privacy classifications from AI outputs
Assistingin building reports, processes, and documentation to support data management practices
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Skills
Experience with SQL and data querying methods
Copy editing, writing, and process documentation
Intermediated to Advanced Excel familiarity
Data analysis
An interest in data quality, data governance, and data management
Preferred Majors:Computer Science, Library Science, Data Science
MinimumQualificationsand Eligibility Requirements
Currentlypursuing a bachelor’s degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track.
Available to work40 hoursper week for 6 months startingSeptember 22,2026,throughMarch 26, 2027.
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting

Salary:
Base Pay: $32.00
