Job Summary

Infrastructure Engineering is responsible for the safe and resilient engineering designs to power, cool and construct modern Data Centers. This team of individuals are subject matter experts in the equipment, uses and repairs. Also included within this specialty is knowledge critical infrastructure such as HVAC, generators, UPS systems, AC and DC distribution. This Engineer 4 will cover the West region; candidates in that region strongly preferred.

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for safe and resilient engineering designs to power, cool, and construct modern data centers.
  • Partners with Network Engineering team to design infrastructure that meets the needs of the business.
  • Excellent communicator, skilled in onsite and remote vendor management.
  • Manages inventory and coordinates with vendors.
  • Creates and maintains documentation library and adheres to retention guidelines.
  • Utilizes Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) software and other applications.
  • Strong ability to work Independently.
  • Creates scope of work (SOW) documentation, designs, and solicit bids from multiple business partners.
  • Determines, implements, and adheres to corporate and industry standards.
  • Design and document changes of critical infrastructure systems on an ongoing basis.
  • Installation of various low voltage wiring to support telecommunication systems.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering designs for data centers and broadband digital structures.
  • Proven expertise in HVAC systems, generators, UPS systems, AC and DC distribution.
  • Some electrical experience is required; minimal mechanical experience is acceptable.


Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge and application of engineering methodologies beyond discipline.
  • Expert level of industry knowledge and skills.
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions for complex development problems.
  • Strong understanding of business and functional priorities
  • Expert level knowledge of critical infrastructure in Data centers 
  • Broadband Telecom Center Specialist - SCTE
  • Data Center Infrastructure Specialist - IDCA
  • Skilled with Microsoft office suite, Autocad, Adobe product line.

Salary:

National Pay Range: $75,745.67 USD-$177,528.91 USD

Bachelor's Degree
