Job Summary
Responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction across the full pre-sales planning process, partnering closely with internal and external sales teams to develop thoughtful, data-driven media strategies that drive business impact. Accountable for translating company vision and revenue priorities into a clear planning roadmap, ensuring the team delivers high-quality solutions aligned with client objectives, yield principles, and operational standards. Leads a large organization through change, fostering an inclusive culture and building strong leadership capabilities at all levels. Provides guidance across multiple functional areas, manages managers and senior professionals, and ensures resources are aligned to achieve financial, operational, and strategic goals. Core Responsibilities:
- Work with Senior Director and leadership to contribute to the development of business strategy and translate organizational goals into actionable Media Planning priorities.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the media landscape, industry trends, marketplace dynamics, and advanced advertising capabilities.
- Effectively communicate planning strategy and vision to internal teams and external partners, ensuring clarity, alignment, and shared understanding across functions.
- Provide leadership and direction for diverse teams across a layered organization of leaders and professionals
- Identify and develop critical leadership talent, providing coaching, mentorship, and opportunities that build capability, confidence, and readiness for expanded roles.
- Oversee and guide the development of high-level planning approaches that incorporate client goals, insights, and data to support revenue growth and operational efficiency.
- Manage complex, cross-functional initiatives, and high-impact projects, serving as a voice for the Planning organization in strategic conversations and enterprise-wide programs.
- Champion a planning culture rooted in analytical rigor, curiosity, inclusivity, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and evolve operational policies, workflows, and processes to support scale, efficiency, and future business needs.
- Build and maintain a culture of inclusion and belonging, ensuring diverse perspectives are valued and teams feel supported, safe, and engaged.
- Collaborate with partner teams (Sales, Sales Development, Operations, Product, Supply Strategy) to improve systems, processes, and cross-functional alignment.
- Monitor advertising sales and planning performance metrics, identifying operational challenges and developing solution-oriented strategies to address them.
- Ensure the terms of all media deals align with planning standards and broader organizational expectations.
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
