Contract Manager
Job Summary
Responsible for providing contract support to the Comcast Business sales organization and its customers, including examining customer-requested revisions to service agreements, delivery schedules, terms and pricing to ensure completeness and accuracy. Negotiates contracts with customer and provide guidance to field sales organization regarding service and right of entry obligations. This position is remote.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Receives contract escalations via Salesforce/Microsoft Dynamics and processes contract agreements/solutions until signature.
- Must thrive under routine collaboration with corporate legal counsel, as needed, to ensure agreements comply with appropriate laws and regulations, and company legal requirements.
- Works on a team with similarly skilled Contracts Managers in an extremely collaborative environment.
- Prepared to act as conduit for Sales Operation leadership in various internal and external capacities.
- Contract Review includes examination of contract change requests, special provisions, alternative terms, and pricing; all in compliance with corporate policies and business procedures.
- Routinely support negotiation of Terms & Conditions, SOW’s, RFP’s, right-of-entry, pricing, and Product Specific documents.
- Able to process complex legal and business terms in the formulation of negotiation strategies in furtherance of revenue generation.
- Provides continuous support to business management related to contractual (risk) advisement. Contract managers must see beyond the “black and white” of contractual terms and prosper within the “grey”.
- Facilitates training on new processes and procedures, contract versions, and tools and resources for the Contract Management team and field personnel.
- Works to establish needed processes that will create efficiencies in the Business Services group.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. May require occasional travel (10%)
Job Specification:
- Juris Doctor (JD) Required
- 2+ years related experience working with commercial contracts desired.
- Successful past candidates have demonstrated creativity in approach to legal language, processes, and solutions.
- Must be proficient in redlining documents and creating comparisons of redlines using Microsoft Word
- Previous knowledge of customer telecom/cable/technical industries a plus
- Previous contracts manager or paralegal experience preferred
- Previous exposure to sales teams (within a legal capacity or otherwise) preferred
- Must exhibit excellent inter-personal skills required
- Must be able to project manage a queue containing a high volume of contracts at any given time.
- Must view tight deadlines/pressure as an opportunity to show leadership and flourish.
- Must have sufficient professional confidence so as to advise internal executives as well as negotiate with customer Counsel as may be needed.

- Note: this is not a path to the Legal Department nor does it have direct reports. Emphasis will be on individuals who are hungry and looking for an opportunity to grow their skills as an individual contributor.
