Organization & TeamOverview
The Security and Privacy Management team plays a critical role in supporting the Comcast Advertising organization by ensuring robust technical governance and maintaininga strong security and compliance posture. The team is responsible for overseeing key areas such as identity and asset management, technology risk assessment, remediation tracking, and the development of meaningful metrics to measure and manage risk effectively.
The team collaborates closely with Corporate Security to interpret and implement enterprise-wide security requirements within Comcast Advertising. We tailor these high-level mandates to the unique needs and risk profile of the advertising business, ensuring alignment with our internal security frameworks and operational realities.
Role Description
The Security and Privacy Management Support Internwill play a key role in assisting the Security and Privacy Management team with the development, implementation, and documentation of governance frameworks across a range of technical domains. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the dynamic intersection of technology, policy, and cybersecurity. You’ll contribute to meaningful initiatives that help shape and strengthen organizational security and privacy practices, while building a strong foundation in Security and Privacy management (SPM) principles.

In a Security and Privacy Management environment, an intern could work on a variety of engaging and meaningful problems that blend technical, analytical, and policy-oriented skills. Here are some interesting and impactful areas they could explore:
Third-Party Risk Assessments: Help evaluate the security posture of vendors and partners, including reviewing SOC 2 reports or security questionnaires.
Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs): Support the creation of PIAs for new tools or processes that handle personal data.
Security Metrics Dashboard: Build or enhance dashboards that track key risk indicators (KRIs) and compliance metrics.
Automation of Governance Tasks: Use scripting or low-code tools to automate repetitive tasks like evidence collection or control testing.
Security Training Content: Assist in developing engaging training materials or micro-learning modules for employees.
Cloud Security Posture: Investigate how cloud environments are secured and help assess compliance with cloud security best practices.

Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Assist in establishing and refining governance frameworks and policies to address security and compliance requirements.
Document processes, procedures, and technical standards to ensure consistency and alignment with industry best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input and ensure documentation supports stakeholders through achieving compliance in areas in which gaps exist today.

PreferredSkills
Analytical & Critical thinking: Ability to assess risks, identify gaps and interpret technical documentation.
Technical Proficiency: Understanding of privacy regulations and basic knowledge of governance frameworks. Experience with tools like Excel, Jira or ServiceNow.
Automating and scripting (nice to have): Python, Powershell).
Documentation and Communication: ability to translate technical concepts into clear, business-friendly language.
Preferred Majors: Computing and Informatics, Cybersecurity, Computer Science/Computer Engineering, Information Technology
Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements
Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
Rising Junior or Rising Senior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2028)
Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2026 semester before graduating)
Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program starting June 1, 2026, through August 14, 2026
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)
