Network Activation Engineer
Job Summary
This job is central to the delivery and technical support of software-defined networks, focusing on configuring and troubleshooting. It requires collaboration with project managers and the application of technical expertise to ensure seamless network functionality. Responsibilities:
- Implementing Universal Customer Premise Equipment and updating inventory management with IP assignments and CLLI codes for network services
- Provisioning and configuring network services on the SDN platform, including Firewall, NAT/PAT, QoS, and BGP among others
- Creating complete Bill of Materials for site hardware, ensuring compatibility with service configurations to fulfill customer requirements
- Collaborating with Customer Project Managers to provide technical guidance and configurations during the Service Delivery process for IP network technologies
- Conducting tests and commissioning new uCPE and Wireless Backup circuits, documenting results and ensuring production environment readiness
- Recommending improvements to practices and procedures based on field experience and technical expertise in network service delivery
- Troubleshooting complex IP networking and security issues, employing expert knowledge to resolve problems and optimize network performance
- Engaging with customers to educate them on service functionalities, enhancing their understanding and satisfaction with provided solutions
- Analyzing and implementing test and acceptance criteria for network elements, ensuring adherence to performance and quality standards
- Coordinating with Engineering and Product Development teams to assess technical requirements, support operations, and contribute to product evolution
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
