QA Engineer - Unified Communications (SIP, VoIP)
Job Summary
As a QA Engineer - Unified Communications (SIP, VoIP), you will be responsible for leading the development, integration, and validation of automated solutions within complex telecom and VoIP environments. This highly specialized role requires deep expertise in VoIP architectures, infrastructure automation using Ansible, and the integration of advanced telecom systems. You will design and implement automation frameworks to validate and optimize large-scale voice architectures, making this a critical role in driving the efficiency, performance, and scalability of telecom solutions.Job Description
- Design and lead the integration of complex automation frameworks for validating VoIP communication systems and telecom network infrastructures.
- Automate telecom and VoIP infrastructure (Cisco Broadsoft, Sonus SBC, ESG, IAD, PBX) through integration of automation tools (Ansible, Python, Bash).
- Architect and validate large-scale VoIP ecosystems, ensuring seamless operation across telecom infrastructures, including advanced systems such as Software-Defined Networking and Network Functions Virtualization.
- Develop automation strategies for end-to-end validation of telecom infrastructures, including private clouds (RHVM on HPE Synergy) and networking components (switches, routers).
- Integrate telecom protocols (SIP, RTP) and create automation scripts for their validation and monitoring in real-time telecom environments.
- Lead cross-functional efforts to design and implement infrastructure validation solutions that ensure scalability, security, and performance of VoIP networks.
- Develop and maintain automated validation frameworks for telecom and VoIP system configurations, ensuring smooth integration with existing infrastructure.
- Collaborate on infrastructure integration projects to automate the deployment of private cloud solutions, while ensuring system interoperability.
- Validate and optimize telecom architectures through rigorous automation and monitoring of telecom and VoIP systems, ensuring industry compliance and best practices.
- Lead technical reviews of system designs, validating that all integrated components adhere to specialized telecom standards and operational requirements.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or related field, with a specialization in telecom system automation and VoIP technologies.
- 5+ years of experience in developing and integrating automated solutions for telecom and VoIP systems, with expertise in Cisco Broadsoft, Sonus SBC, and other telecom platforms.
- Expert proficiency in telecom automation and validation tools (SiPp, Tsung) and infrastructure automation frameworks (Ansible, Python, Bash).
- Strong knowledge of advanced telecom technologies, including software-defined networking (SDN), network functions virtualization (NFV), and cloud-based platforms (RHVM on HPE Synergy).
- In-depth understanding of telecom protocols (SIP, RTP) and extensive hands-on experience in infrastructure integration and troubleshooting.
- Proven ability to design and implement automation strategies for complex telecom deployments, ensuring seamless integration and validation of all components.
- Experience leading large-scale technical projects, focused on automating cross-platform telecom infrastructures with a strong emphasis on VoIP ecosystems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead specialized integration projects requiring deep VoIP and telecom expertise.
