VP, GCA, State Government Affairs, Minnesota & Wisconsin - District 4
Job Summary
Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Government & Community Affairs (“GCA”), District 4, this role has responsibility for state governmental policy and advocacy matters for Minnesota. The VP is responsible for developing and implementing legislative strategies, monitoring legislation, coordinating state association management, key contacts programs, training, compliance, and assisting in the facilitation of state government-facing business initiatives. This role will coordinate with the GCA team to coordinate relationships with state and local membership organizations. Works with local GCA to coordinate community affairs activities.Job Description
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement legislative strategies, tactics, and monitor legislation. Build strategies and tactics to effectively advocate for company priorities in all levels of stategovernment.
Develops and maintains relationships with government representatives and regulators at the state level. Travel to attend meetings, hearings, or other events to represent the company.
Monitor statelegislative activity affecting Comcast NBCUniversal business interests.Work closely with the HQ Shared Services Policy team to review legislation and receive policy direction from subject matter experts. Execute advocacy strategies and tactics based on the company’s policy guidance.
Coordinate state association management, key contacts programs, training, and compliance.
Assist in facilitation of state and local government-facing business initiatives.
Provide guidance and support at all management levels to ensure consistent and sound state and local government policy and enhance communication with stateofficialsin all levels of government.
Work to achievecorporate initiatives and work with local GCA to coordinate community affairs activities.
Draft and analyze state legislative testimony.
Develop relationships on behalf of Comcast with coalition and industry tradeassociations.
Other duties as assigned.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS:
Familiarity with key areas of technology and/or telecommunications policy.
Progressively responsible experience in government affairs related disciplines working with legislators, government agencies, political campaigns, or associations with recent experience.
Strong team player and willingness to assist department in various tasks.
Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities and possess good organization skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and represent Comcast in a positive, professional manner.
Ability to build relationships as well as work collaboratively to build consensus and positive buy-in/support for initiatives.
Strong presentation and communication skills, able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization both in written and oral form.
Proven project management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Exceptional time management and strong eye for detail.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Travel required: 25-30%
EDUCATION LEVEL:Bachelor’s degree.
YEARS EXPERIENCE:10+ years related experience.

Salary:
Primary Location Pay Range: $216,142.99 - $324,214.48
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work.
