Job Summary

Responsible for providing account management and sales support for an assigned portfolio of existing customers. Manages overall account strategies for specific named accounts, including identification of incremental revenue opportunities, new product and service opportunities and retention of existing services. Provides support for customer relationship management and customer satisfaction in addition to delivering customer revenue and retention objectives. Identifies and manages interactions with assigned group of existing customers to identify cross/up and repeat sales opportunities. Resolves problems and ensuring customers receive high quality customer service. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Job Description

The Account Manager role has two core strands: owning client relationships and up-sale (account management); and managing the implementation and evolution of FreeWheel products (project management).

Account Management & upsale (≈60%)

  • Be the main point of contact for day-to-day client queries and needs across all interactions with FreeWheel Publisher and Streaming Hub products and services.

  • Understand each client’s objectives, monetization strategy, and success metrics, and translate them into concrete platform usage and roadmaps.

  • Work with Revenue leadership (e.g. Strategic Relationship Manager / Sales) to report to internal and external stakeholders on progress, performance, risks and opportunities.

  • Partner closely with internal teams (Solutions Engineering, Support, Product, Advisory Services, KMT, etc.) to ensure timely resolution of issues and high-quality delivery.

  • Analyse problems and provide a “big-picture” view that connects technical issues to business impact and revenue outcomes.

  • Identify recurring issues and structural gaps, surface underlying problems, and drive sustainable fixes that protect client satisfaction and revenue.

  • Advocate for client needs with Product and Engineering, adding business context, monetization impact and clear use cases to feature requests.

  • Build and analyse regular reports for measuring operational and yield management KPIs.

Project Management & Implementation (≈40%)

  • Manage all ongoing projects for new and existing clients, from initial scoping through to completion, with a strong focus on time-to-value and revenue impact.

  • Own a portfolio of projects (onboardings, migrations, new feature / product roll-outs, workflow changes) and ensure they are aligned with client business cases and Revenue priorities.

  • Understand and document the business use case for each project so that scope, timelines and trade-offs are aligned with the client’s objectives and FreeWheel’s commercial strategy.

  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including Project Plans, RAID logs and meeting notes, ensuring they are usable by both internal stakeholders and client teams.

  • Report regularly and transparently to management and clients on project status, progress against plan, key risks, commercial impact and next steps.

  • Work in conjunction with internal FreeWheel teams (Solutions Engineering, Product Management, Advisory Services, Support, KMT, etc.) to execute projects on time and in line with agreed success criteria.

  • Collect and share lessons learned from each project, rapidly applying them to improve our playbooks, processes and best practices in both project management and commercial delivery.

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • At least 3 years of experience in a client-facing account management or customer success role, ideally in TV / video ad-tech, streaming or programmatic environments

  • Demonstrated track record of managing and growing a portfolio of strategic accounts (revenue, product adoption, satisfaction)

  • Familiar with project management skills, including scoping, planning, execution and stakeholder management across multiple concurrent projects

  • Looking for a fast-paced, entrepreneurial working environment with a clear leader in the television and premium video advertising technology space

  • Strong team player who collaborates effectively across Revenue, Product, Operations and Support

  • Strong commercial mindset: comfortable discussing business models, revenue drivers, yield, and performance KPIs with clients and internal stakeholders

  • High level of technical aptitude with digital advertising / ad-serving concepts; able to translate between business and technical teams

  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for different audiences

  • Excellent presentation skills and experience presenting to senior management and external stakeholders (e.g. QBRs, roadmap sessions)

  • Fluent in English; additional European languages are a plus (depending on market)
