Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality Assurance Technician to join our residential solar team. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all solar installations meet our stringent quality standards and comply with industry regulations. The technician will be responsible for reviewing project documentation, conducting on-site inspections, and providing real-time feedback to installation crews to uphold the highest quality standards.Job Description

Core Responsibilities
- · Desktop Quality Reviews: Thoroughly assess project photos, checklists, and related documentation for accuracy, completeness, and quality. Ensure all submissions align with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- · Quality Scoring: Assign quality scores to completed projects based on predefined criteria, identifying areas of excellence and opportunities for improvement.
- · On-Site Inspections: Conduct field inspections during and after installation to verify compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and local codes.
- · Real-Time Feedback: Provide immediate, constructive feedback to installation crews while on-site, addressing any issues promptly to ensure corrective actions are taken.
- · Collaboration: Work closely with Regional Operations Managers, engineers, and installation teams to communicate findings and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- · Reporting: Document inspection results, including photographs and detailed notes, and submit reports in a timely manner.
- · Training Support: Assist in developing training materials and sessions to educate installation teams on quality standards and best practices.
Qualifications
- · Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in solar, electrical, or a related field preferred.
- · Experience: Minimum of 2 years in residential solar installation, inspection, or quality assurance roles.
- · Technical Skills: Strong understanding of solar system components, electrical wiring, and safety protocols. Ability to read and interpret system designs, electrical schematics, and site plans.
- · Inspection Tools: Proficiency with inspection tools and equipment, including multimeters and infrared cameras.
- · Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and professional feedback to team members.
- · Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- · Physical Requirements: Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including on rooftops and in confined spaces. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks as required for inspections.
Preferred Qualifications
- · Certifications: NABCEP Solar PV Installation Professional certification or equivalent.
- · Software Proficiency: Experience with inspection and project management software.
- · Additional Skills: Knowledge of local building codes and regulations related to solar installations.

Salary:
Primary Location Pay Range: $76,518.24 - $114,777.36
Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. The application window is 30 days from the date job is posted, unless the number of applicants requires it to close sooner or later.
Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards that Comcast provides to compensate and recognize employees for their work. Most sales positions are eligible for a Commission under the terms of an applicable plan, while most non-sales positions are eligible for a Bonus.
