Job Summary
The Manager, Capital Invoice Operations leads a team responsible for executing capital invoicing activities that support construction and network initiatives across the Texas Region. This people leadership role sits at the intersection of finance and operations, ensuring vendor invoices accurately reflect completed work and align with capital forecasts, project timelines, and financial controls. The manager partners closely with Finance and business stakeholders to drive accountability, strengthen operational alignment, and continuously improve invoice management processes. Core Responsibilities
Analyzes actual results against expected performance and communicates areas for improvement.
Develops, evaluates and implements performance metrics for functions supervised. Measures and analyzes actual performance and makes recommendations for improving profitability where needed.
Reviews and analyzes forecasts and recommends changes when appropriate. Updates forecasts for new developments to provide management with a current perspective of the business.
Collaborates with other operational departments such as Tech Ops, Construction, Business Services to ensure resources are available to support their daily needs and special projects.
Hires, trains, evaluates, coaches and counsels staff.
Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the Capital Invoicing Operations function for the Texas Region, overseeing the review, validation, and approval of capital invoices, application of rate cards, and assessment of construction cost estimates.
Provide strategic leadership, supervision, and coaching to a team of invoicing operations analysts (both FTEs and contractors), fostering high engagement, strong storytelling, analytical rigor, and alignment with departmental and enterprise priorities.
Ensure accurate financial processing by enforcing three-way match principles and maintaining integrity across all capital invoicing transactions.
Build and sustain strong cross-functional partnerships with internal capital stakeholders and external vendors to drive operational excellence, improve financial accuracy, and support efficient execution of capital programs.
Apply construction knowledge to support project planning, validate construction estimates, and proactively assess potential operational impacts.
Manage and report on key operational metrics, including regional network expansion KPIs related to invoicing, construction labor coding, and construction operations performance.
Maintain compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements governing capital expenditures and financial documentation.
Identify, recommend, and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy, streamline workflows, and introduce best practices in capital invoicing and operational reporting.
Perform a variety of Business Operations responsibilities and provide support on cross-team initiatives as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
5+ years of experience in invoicing, procurement, AP/AR, finance, or business operations.
2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
Strong proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).
Strong Excel skills; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is a plus.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
Strong storytelling and communication skills, ability to translate complex data, financial insights, and operational metrics into clear, compelling narratives that influence executive decision-making.
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strategic thinker with a detailed-oriented approach.
