This program immerses students into the daily operation of a contemporary media and technology company while working side-by-side with Comcast’s top innovators. The student becomes an integral part of the Comcast team working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units.

Organization & Team Overview

As partner of the Engineering team, we work forefront of providing that experience. Our innovative teams are continually developing ways to deliver the network to customers balancing speed, quality, and cost.

Our Engineering team is responsible for the planning and design of the broadband communication networks that provide critical services to commercial and residential customers. We prepare and maintain project documentation and partner with cross-functional stakeholders.

Role Description

Are you an innovative, forward-thinker who would like to make an impact within the telecommunications industry?
Comcast’s West Division is seeking dynamic, self-motivated interns who have a strong passion to drive the age of innovation during an immersive summer experience with us! Our paid 11-week program gives interns hands-on experience working with various groups across multiple office locations within Comcast’s West Division.

As a member of the team, you will get an inside look into the day-to-day operations of an organization at the cutting edge of media and technology. You’ll be working with cross-functional and direct project teams to determine project specifications. You will gain invaluable knowledge of the industry, be a part of our diverse and welcoming culture, and receive exposure to other areas of the business. 

What are some interesting problems the student will work on?

In your role, you will be responsible for managing, planning, tracking and implementing small projects or aspects of larger projects from initiation to completion. Ensure project completion according to timeline, budget, and specifications. You will work with vendors and internal teams to establish and achieve goals. Coordinate the activities of a cross-functional team including exempt and non-exempt employees. Communicate project status with Engineering Manager.

You will be working on creative, innovative, and thought-provoking projects within various business units at Comcast during your internship experience. Success in this role is characterized by a higher speed to market, with fewer quality opportunities, and cost savings.  

Job Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Project managing Regional Construction Projects
  • Track and update construction milestones, production forecast, and purchase orders
  • Facilitate weekly project meetings
  • Job shadow other project managers.
  • Ride-a-longs with Specialists pending Covid-19 protocols
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Preferred Skills

  • Work independently in a virtual environment
  • Knowledge of basic Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel
  • Strong work discipline and accountability
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Interest in project management, construction, building science or equivalent technical studies.
  • Preferred Majors: Business, Construction, Project Management, Engineering, Real Estate, Architecture, Information Technology

Minimum Qualifications and Eligibility Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree from a United States-based college or university
  • Rising Junior only (must have a graduation date between Winter 2026- Spring 2027)
  • Returning to degree-program (for at least a semester) after the completion of the summer internship (meaning, student must be returning to school for Fall 2025 semester before graduating)
  • Available to work 40 hours per week over the course of the summer program- June 2 through August 15, 2025
  • Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
  • Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting (unless virtual offering)

Salary:

Base Pay: $24.00
