Core Responsibilities
As a key member of the Comcast India Procurement team, you will be responsible to effectively execute and communicate NBCU procurement and purchasing policies, best practices, and drive compliance of these with the business. You will be expected to meet or exceed transactional purchasing service levels to maintain operational excellence, resolve escalated questions and proactively propose solutions for recurring issues.
The responsibilities will include:
- Purchase Order Processing
- Create POs, as required
- Proactive PO system & process monitoring, exception management and break-fix resolution
- Ensure POs are successfully transmitted and received by suppliers through PO acknowledgement
- Ensure delivery dates are accurate in POs, as required
- Perform change orders, as required
- Accurately advise business on processes related to PO creation, PO management, and PO invoice resolution
- Support Reporting and Analytics
- Assist in transactional purchasing operational analytics and reporting
- Provide data driven suggestions for process and system improvements
- Support ad hoc projects and other analytics activities
- General Support
- Effectively communicate procurement and purchasing policies to the business
- Accurately escalate issues to the correct stakeholder group
- Perform User Acceptance Testing as required
- Assist in new process change initiatives
- Challenge existing practices and execute improvements to standardize and streamline processes
- Other relevant duties as assigned
Key requirements and experience include:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management or Information Systems or Technology or Engineering or equivalent education
- Purchasing system experience, specifically SAP and IBM Maximo highly desired
- Experience working with a data reporting platform/warehouse.
- Experience working with an issue tracker / ticketing system (e.g., ServiceNow, Zendesk, etc.)
- 3 - 5 years of procurement experience with large telecom or technology or media company
- Strong background, experience, and knowledge in Transactional procurement (Procure to pay – P2P): PR process, PO process, Invoice resolution
- Demonstrated quantitative and data analysis skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with end-users virtually, via email and/or phone to discuss and resolve issues is required
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, including correctly determining escalation paths for issues
- Independent thinking to proactively provide ideas for process improvement and actively contribute to solution implementation
- Exceptional work ethic and team player with excellent time management skills
- Advanced knowledge of M365 application suite
- Accuracy of work product and excellent attention to detail are required
- Experience working in global delivery model / environments
- Ability to support Eastern and Pacific Standard Time Zone (USA) meeting / calls as needed

Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
