Scrum Master 4
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Scrum Master to drive end-to-end delivery and strengthen Agile ways of working across the organization. The Lead Scrum Master will operate as a senior Agile delivery lead, working closely with Product Owners, Engineering Leads, Business Stakeholders, and Scrum Masters to ensure predictable delivery, effective prioritization, proactive risk management, and strong stakeholder alignment. In addition to managing the day-to-day responsibilities of a Scrum Master, this role will focus on standardizing Agile practices, optimizing delivery processes, improving team maturity, mentoring Scrum Masters and Agile teams, and driving continuous improvement across projects and programs. The role will also provide program-level visibility and coordination, helping teams remove impediments, improve delivery outcomes, and adopt consistent Agile practices. The Lead Scrum Master will partner closely with the Scrum Master Manager/PMO leadership and contribute to the evolution of the organization's Agile operating model.Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
Agile Delivery
- Lead end-to-end Agile delivery across teams, ensuring predictable Sprint and release outcomes.
- Drive effective planning, prioritization, dependency management, and timely issue resolution.
- Ensure healthy backlogs, clear commitments, and strong delivery discipline.
Agile Standardization & Governance
- Drive consistent adoption of Agile processes, standards, playbooks, and governance across teams.
- Identify process gaps and establish scalable, reusable ways of working.
- Ensure effective adoption of agreed Agile practices and standards.
Delivery Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Analyze delivery metrics and team trends to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
- Drive initiatives to improve predictability, cycle time, quality, and delivery efficiency.
- Eliminate non-value-added activities and continuously simplify ways of working.
Risk, Dependency & Release Management
- Proactively identify and manage delivery risks, issues, assumptions, and cross-team dependencies.
- Drive release readiness and coordinate stakeholders to ensure smooth delivery.
- Escalate critical risks early with clear impact, options, and recommended actions.
Metrics & Delivery Insights
- Establish and monitor Agile delivery metrics including predictability, velocity, cycle time, backlog health, and unplanned work.
- Translate delivery data into actionable insights and improvement opportunities.
- Track and demonstrate measurable outcomes from Agile improvement initiatives.
Agile Transformation & Innovation
- Lead Agile maturity and transformation initiatives across teams and programs.
- Identify and scale successful Agile practices across the organization.
- Promote AI-enabled and data-driven ways of working to improve planning, reporting, documentation, and delivery effectiveness.
Team Coaching & Mentoring
- Mentor Scrum Masters and coach teams on Agile practices, facilitation, ownership, and delivery excellence.
- Support teams in improving Agile maturity, self-organization, accountability, and collaboration.
- Lead Agile communities of practice and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Cross-Team & Stakeholder Leadership
- Coordinate across Product, Engineering, QA, DevOps, Business, and dependent teams.
- Drive alignment on priorities, milestones, dependencies, risks, and critical decisions.
- Provide clear and timely delivery insights and escalations to leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8–11 years of experience in project management, with a strong emphasis on end-to-end delivery and release management.
- Strong experience leading Agile teams and managing complex, cross-functional initiatives.

Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
