Job Summary

Responsible for contributing in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, new product implementation, implementing existing products and services and the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of engineering. Acts in compliance with industry and Company technical requirements, standards, policies and procedures. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.

Job Location: Chennai

Shift – US/UK and India

Core Requirement:

  • BS in Engineering/Computer Science or related field, or relevant work experience.
  • A passion for investigating issues, driving towards resolutions and effective problem solving
  • 3-5 years of SRE experience in the technology sector supporting and maintaining production-quality software or software-defined infrastructure in a high traffic environment run in a cloud environments (AWS preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in a support/analysis role
  • Working experience with Linux System Administration
  • Solid understanding of Networking fundamentals, the OSI model, subnetting, basic network troubleshooting
  • Experience scripting in Python or shell languages.
  • Experience with deployment automation in within AWS-hosted services (Cloud Formation, Terraform, Ansible)
  • Managing code revisions, conflicts in GitHUB

Required Skills:

  • Experience with CI/CD orchestration tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, or Jenkins) and best practices.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration services such as EKS, K9S, and Docker
  • Experience in designing, analyzing and building automation and tools for large scale systems
  • Experience and comfort with continuous delivery/frequent releases of code to production
  • A methodical and logical approach to reasoning about problems and system interactivity
  • Willingness and ability to prioritize business needs to meet short-term demands
  • Professional experience using modern log/metric aggregation software (e.g. Cloudwatch, Elasticsearch + Kibana, Splunk, Grafana)

Other Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in the Media & Entertainment industry
  • 3+ years of experience in 24x7 production environments
  • 3+ years of experience supporting IT/Broadcast Systems
  • 5+ years of customer facing experience 
  • Experience with Live TV Broadcasting, OTT Streaming, video and audio codecs and ARQ technologies a plus. 
  • Experience utilizing AI to develop solutions, or provide analysis of large data sets.
