Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Windows & Linux Administrator with 8 to 12 years of experience with strong Application Support and Service Assurance Lead (SAL) experience. The role involves managing enterprise infrastructure, ensuring application availability, handling security vulnerability patching, proactive monitoring, and leading major incident and bridge calls to ensure rapid issue resolution and service stability.Job Description
Windows & Linux Administration
- Administer and maintain Windows and Linux servers in production and non‑production environments.
- Perform OS installations, configurations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Manage user access, system permissions, file systems, and server hardening.
- Ensure system availability, performance tuning, and capacity planning.
Application Support
- Provide L2/L3 application support for critical business applications.
- Investigate application issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes.
- Coordinate with development, infra, database, and vendor teams for issue resolution.
- Support application deployments, configuration changes, and release activities.
Security Vulnerability Patching
- Plan and execute OS and application patching for Windows and Linux servers.
- Identify, analyze, and remediate security vulnerabilities in line with organizational policies.
- Work closely with security and compliance teams to meet audit and security requirements.
- Maintain patching schedules, reports, and change documentation.
Monitoring & Incident Management
- Use monitoring tools to track server, application, and service health.
- Proactively identify issues and take preventive action to avoid outages.
- Respond to alerts, incidents, and service requests within defined SLAs.
- Perform detailed incident analysis and RCA documentation.
Service Assurance Lead (SAL) Responsibilities
- Act as SAL / Incident Lead during high‑severity incidents.
- Lead bridge calls / major incident calls, ensuring clear communication and coordination across teams.
- Drive incident resolution by assigning tasks, tracking progress, and updating stakeholders.
- Provide timely status updates to management and customers during outages.
- Ensure proper incident closure, post‑incident review, and preventive action tracking.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Strong hands‑on experience in Windows Server and Linux administration.
- Solid Application Support experience in production environments.
- Expertise in security vulnerability management and patching.
- Experience with monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix, SCOM, Splunk, AppDynamics, or similar).
- Good understanding of networking basics (DNS, TCP/IP, firewalls, load balancers).
- Experience with virtualization/cloud platforms is an added advantage.
SAL / Leadership Skills
- Proven SAL or Major Incident Management experience.
- Strong skills in leading bridge calls and cross‑functional teams.
- Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure during outages and critical incidents.
Soft Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical thinking.
- Good documentation and reporting skills.
- Willingness to work in shifts and on‑call support.
- Ownership mindset with accountability for service availability.

Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
