Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on DevOps Engineer to take end-to-end ownership of designing, implementing, automating, and supporting secure, scalable cloud and platform engineering solutions. The role requires strong expertise in AWS cloud services, Kubernetes-based container platforms, CI/CD automation, Infrastructure as Code, DevSecOps practices, monitoring, and production support. The engineer will be responsible for delivering reliable DevOps solutions independently, collaborating across engineering, QA, MLOps, and security teams, and ensuring operational excellence across enterprise platforms. This is an individual contributor role. The engineer is expected to own technical delivery end-to-end.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end implementation of secure, scalable AWS cloud infrastructure. 

  • Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes platforms, including EKS and containerised workloads. 

  • Build, enhance, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for applications and infrastructure. 

  • Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools. 

  • Integrate security controls, vulnerability scanning, and compliance checks into CI/CD pipelines. 

  • Support cloud security practices including IAM, secrets management, encryption, and network security. 

  • Drive vulnerability remediation and risk mitigation using tools such as Snyk, or similar. 

  • Establish and improve monitoring, observability, and alerting frameworks using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or Splunk. 

  • Automate manual processes to improve deployment speed, reliability, and scalability. 

  • Manage production incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions. 

  • Collaborate with Engineering, QA, MLOps, and security teams to improve release velocity and operational stability. 

  • Contribute to DevOps best practices, reusable automation frameworks, and standardised deployment patterns. 

  • Support multi-cloud and hybrid environments with a focus on consistency, governance, and reliability. 

  • Work independently on assigned initiatives and ensure timely delivery with quality.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Site Reliability Engineering, or related areas. 

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS services such as EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda, VPC, IAM, and CloudWatch. 

  • Good experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration tools such as Docker, Helm, and EKS. 

  • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible. 

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar. 

  • Good understanding of DevSecOps practices and security automation. 

  • Experience with cloud security practices including IAM, secrets management, encryption, and network security. 

  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, Splunk, or CloudWatch. 

  • Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages. 

  • Experience supporting production systems, SLAs, incident response, and operational troubleshooting. 

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. 

  • Ability to take ownership of assigned workstreams and deliver independently with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting AI/ML or data engineering platforms.

  • Knowledge of security and compliance frameworks (ISO, SOC2, NIST, etc.).

  • Experience in enterprise cloud transformation and modernization initiatives.

  • Certifications such as:

  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer / Solutions Architect

  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) / CKAD

  • Security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP) are a plus
