Job Summary
As a Wi-Fi Solutions Architect, you will develop solutions using Comcast's full suite of Wi-Fi, WAN/LAN, Managed Security, and Managed Network Services, focusing on Fortune 3000 clients. You will serve as a Technical Wi-Fi Solutions Architect, working closely with account teams to understand customer technical and business requirements and lead the collection of technical details to support the provisioning and activation of Wi-Fi services. Additionally, you will collaborate with various teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, develop high-value Wi-Fi solutions and designs, and mentor and guide team members.Job Description
- Develop solutions using Comcast's full suite of Wi-Fi, WAN/LAN, Managed Security, and Managed Network Services, focusing on Fortune 3000 clients.
- Serve as a Technical Solutions Architect SME, working closely with account teams to understand customer technical and business requirements.
- Lead the collection of technical details to support the provisioning and activation of Wi-Fi services.
- Focus on creating high-value Wi-Fi solutions, developing deal strategies, and driving revenue growth for Comcast Business.
- Collaborate with account teams, product teams, and operations to deliver exceptional customer experiences and enable strategic solution sales.
- Meet with customers to understand their business models and the role of Wi-Fi technology in their networks.
- Develop advanced Wi-Fi solutions to address customer business and technology needs, working with the larger team to gain customer confidence and trust.
- Work closely with Sales leaders to upskill sales and sales engineering teams with new Wi-Fi technologies, increasing overall participation and win rates.
- Develop proposal preparation support and technical presentations for customers.
- Build relationships with customers to ensure the Comcast Sales and internal teams understand their current Wi-Fi networks and provide solutions that meet or exceed expectations.
- Act as a technical expert in Wi-Fi within the organization, providing mentoring and guidance to junior team members.
- May lead a team on complex Wi-Fi projects but does not directly manage people.
Responsibilities and requirements:
- Develop solutions leveraging Comcast's Managed Network Services portfolio, with a focus on Managed Wi-Fi, Managed Broadband, Managed Router, Network/Security Architecture, and wireless or wired LAN.
- Serve as the Lead Solution Architect (SA) for non-standard product solutions, including product, engineering, support, and financial approvals.
- Lead non-standard Individual Case Basis (ICB), DRB, and EDRB discussions.
- Provide technical overlay support in functional areas such as legal and contracts.
- Support the sales process for large and complex Wi-Fi opportunities.
- Drive customer Wi-Fi solutions within Comcast's presales process by defining customer requirements, survey preferences, billing options, timelines, and proposal responses.
- Document and present solutions to customers, highlighting the benefits and building relationships as a trusted advisor.
- Support solution development growth initiatives, such as complex Wi-Fi designs and Public Sector solutions.
- Shepherd complex design and non-standard architecture efforts for RFPs, designing cost-effective solutions and solving configuration challenges through the standard or ICB process.
- Collaborate with Network Engineering, Solution Engineering, Product Management, and Marketing teams to support the presales effectiveness of the Sales Engineering teams.
- Participate in strategic and tactical account planning.
- Maintain business acumen to anticipate future trends, understand the competitive landscape, and translate market knowledge into business opportunities.
- Review all technical aspects for quality before an opportunity is accepted as sold.
- Lead the introduction of new products, processes, or technologies within the Comcast Business Solution Architecture community.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Maintain regular, consistent, and punctual attendance, with the ability to work nights, weekends, and variable schedules as necessary.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Knowledge of Wi-fi technology from Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Juniper, Ruckus and Arista is preferred.
- Ekauha ECSE certificate is required.
- CWNA/CWNE certificate is preferred.
- Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, Excel and Visio.

Education
Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
