Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Application Packaging Engineer responsible for preparing, testing, and deploying software applications across Windows and macOS environments. The role involves building reliable deployment packages, ensuring application compatibility, and enabling seamless software distribution through enterprise device management tools.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Package and prepare applications for enterprise deployment:
- Windows: MSI, MSIX, EXE
- macOS: PKG, DMG
- Deploy applications using enterprise management tools:
- Windows: SCCM (Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager), Intune
- macOS: Intune, Jamf
- Create and manage silent installations for automated deployments
- Perform application testing to ensure compatibility across Windows and macOS devices
- Troubleshoot installation failures, packaging issues, and compatibility challenges
- Manage application lifecycle, including upgrades, patches, and version control
- Maintain clear and detailed documentation for packaging standards, deployment processes, and troubleshooting steps
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure compliance with enterprise deployment standards and security policies
Required Skills & Experience
Windows
- Hands-on experience with SCCM and/or Microsoft Intune
- Strong expertise in MSI/MSIX packaging and repackaging
- Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation
macOS
- Experience in creating and deploying PKG and DMG packages
- Familiarity with Jamf, Intune, or other Mac device management tools
- Proficiency in Shell scripting (Bash/Zsh)
General
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, enterprise environment with multiple deployment requirements
- Strong documentation and communication skills

While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
