Job Summary

The Unified Communications Engineering team is looking for an enthusiastic Devops engineer with a passion for building and optimizing secure, reliable, scalable, and robust applications.  As a DevOps Engineer, the candidate should provide technical expertise in deploying applications to the private and public cloud and enhance CICD pipeline. You will need to have knowledge in containerization, deploying, scaling services in Kubernetes and automating deployments of Golang applications and Python pipeline data engineering. You will be working in conjunction with the development and operations teams to build dashboards, alerts using Grafana, Prometheus and ELK, and support infrastructure on Openstack environment. We welcome anyone who is self-motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to learn latest opensource technologies and and collaborate with engineers located across US and India.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Concourse, or GitHub Actions
  • Automate build, test, and deployment processes across cloud and on-premises environments
  • Develop and manage Docker images and containerized workloads
  • Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot applications on Kubernetes clusters (cloud and on-prem)
  • Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Ansible and IaC tools
  • Manage and support infrastructure across AWS, Azure, GCP, and on-premises data centers
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to ensure high availability
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and security teams to improve DevOps maturity
  • Participate in on-call rotations and incident response
  • Ensure security, scalability, and operational best practices

Core Skills

  • 2–5 years of experience in a DevOps / Cloud / SRE role
  • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD toolsJenkins, Concourse, and GitHub Actions
  • Solid understanding of Git branching strategies (GitFlow, trunk-based development, feature branching)
  • Hands-on experience with Docker and container lifecycle management
  • Practical experience with Kubernetes (deployments, services, ingress, scaling, troubleshooting)
  • Experience using Ansible for configuration management and automation
  • Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix operating systems

Core Responsibilities

  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair all but the most complex issues. Performs maintenance activities with a minimum of supervision and guidance. Leads technical outage bridges and engages appropriate resources to drive issues to closure.
  • Acts as an advocate for Engineering Operations procedures, policies and processes. Ensures projects and initiatives are adhering to Company standards.
  • Tracks and reports operational workflows; maintains records of results and feedback. Analyzes data and metrics, identifies problem areas and provides actionable insight.
  • Acts as a technical resource in projects and initiatives and ensures successful project implementation.
  • Contributes to design considerations for new products or architectural changes to existing products.
  • Analyses problems in design, configuration, data flow and data state within a highly complex multi-product provisioning system.
  • Performs routine maintenance tests for designated areas of engineering and ensures all maintenance is properly validated to minimize impact.
  • Provides training and guidance to less experienced team members.
  • Attains industry standard certifications and education.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
