Insights & Analytics Engineer 3, Developer Experience

As an Engineer 3 on our DevX Insights & Analytics team, you will be enabling Comcast developers in faster delivery of reliable, performant, and scalable software products. You will be a [technical leader/key contributor] on the team, having input on technical design decisions and serving as a liaison to our stakeholders, primarily other development teams. On our teams, everyone has an opportunity to lead; your communication and collaboration skills are just as important—if not more important—than your technical skills.
About the team
The Insight & Analytics team is made up of a supportive group of engineers and analysts from all walks of life. We work with DevOps teams, internal cloud infrastructure teams, security teams, program management and leadership to deliver enterprise-wide value to support the software development lifecycle. We are an experienced group of technical minds who excel at solving uncharted data-driven challenges to improve the developer experience.

What you will do
As an Engineer 3 on the DevX Insights & Analytics team, you will join a team that is responsible for developing, deploying and supporting a notification platform that supports campaigns across the developer community at Comcast. Responsibilities include following an agile methodology for delivering features within sprints, supporting day-to-day operations of the platform and respond to user and production issues.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate on a DevOps team to run and maintain DevX’s notification platform.
- Develop and enhance the platforms.
- Harvest and visualize metrics; monitor health, performance, and capacity of our platform and services and perform appropriate improvements as required.
- Provide excellent customer service to existing customers and act as a product evangelist for prospective customers.
- Partner with the Product Delivery team to operate product roadmap items that bring new features, reliability, and stability to our platforms.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns are properly managed and the platform operates as expected.
- Participate in regular scrum/iteration planning and backlog grooming sessions.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work variable schedule as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
What you will bring
- 5+ years of experience developing, deploying and supporting software products
- Expert level backend development: JAVA, MongoDB
- Experience with AWS(S3, SNS, SQS, Pinpoint), Javascript/Typescript, CI/CD Pipelines, SQL(Oracle), NoSQL(MongoDB), Log Monitoring and Analysis(ELK), Python
- Experience in frontend software development using ReactJS
- Enthusiastic self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset, proven history of execution and delivery, and well-developed business acumen
- Experience with agile methodologies using Jira, or a similar platform for scaling agile development practices
- Effective working independently and in a team environment, both onsite and virtual
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to adjust the messaging to the audience
- Any relevant experience, including similar technologies and collaboration across teams
- Relevant Computer Science coursework or alternative experience/equivalent
