Job Summary
Responsible for validating product quality by analyzing and testing the quality of the code base. Focuses on writing code that will be executed in an automated and repeatable fashion which will reduce manual testing efforts and increase code quality and consistency. Develops and maintains code that validates front-end, middleware and database systems, using the latest tools and programming languages. Partners with software engineers to write efficient automation code using coding standards and best practices. Works with engineering team to deliver automated tests that satisfy product automation requirements. Executes automated code and creates written summary test reports for team. Repair intermediate complexity broken automation scripts. Works with moderate guidance in own area of knowledge.Job Description
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES –
- As an experienced SAP HR Engineer you will be responsible for design, build, test and maintain SAP programs, custom extension of SAP programs, reports, interfaces, conversion, and enhancements for SAP Payroll, third party time SaaS, and custom time management applications.
- You will support enhancements and troubleshoot for payroll schemas, PCRs, wage types, time evaluation schemas/rules, and posting to Finance.
- Develop and optimize ABAP programs, payroll drivers, custom reports, BADIs enhancements, and payroll-related BAPIs.
- Ensuring technology solutions enable accurate time evaluation and feeding into payroll processing
- Partner with HR functional expertise to understand requirements, translate into technical specification and solutions with options as applicable, and provide level of effort including estimates in time, complexity, and cost.
- Conduct knowledge sharing sessions, design/code walk through, and ensure best practice.
- Ideal candidate should design and/or leverage existing modular solutions while assessing impact to existing functionality.
- Conduct root cause analysis and resolve production issues assuring meeting service level agreement.
- Provide support to batch job scheduling, transport management, and data exchange for internal and external partners.
- You should be able to work at individual capacity and own the entire design to deployment of solution with minimal supervision.
- Collaborate with functional teams to translate user stories and problem statements into project/solution requirements.
- Develop solutions quickly through an Agile process utilizing incremental minimal viable products to obtain user feedback and iterate towards a final solution.
- Job requires working multiple projects in parallel and maintaining a set delivery schedule on all projects.
- Support year-end payroll processing activities, tax updates through BSI/TUBs and regulatory compliance.
- Provide recommendations, develop customized solutions as needed, and manage follow-up & evaluation for all solutions
- Assist with identified stabilisation & simplification initiatives to improve overall SAP processes & performance.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in SAP ECC HCM ABAP development and ABAP Workflow with demonstration experience in taking ownership and ensuring high quality solutions and with specialization in Payroll and Time management.
- 3+ years of experience of leveraging S4/HANA
- Expert knowledge in Payroll schemas and rules, Time evaluation schemas and rules, payroll posting to Finance, and off-cycle payroll processing
- Demonstrated expertise of integrations between SAP Payroll and external systems (benefits, banks, tax authorities)
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
- SAP Certified Development – ABAP with SAP NetWeaver 7.5
- SAP Certified Application – SAP HCM with ERP
Preferred Qualifications
- Media & Entertainment experience would be ideal
- Experience with SuccessFactors and understanding of EC (Employee Central)
- Experience with SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
- Knowledge of implementing AI and ML solutions in SAP data space
- SAP Certified Associate – SAP Integration Suite (CPI)
- Experience with SAP API management
