Job Summary
This job directs the creation and management of data engineering frameworks, emphasizing quality and efficiency in data gathering and transformation. It ensures operational alignment with business objectives and oversees the implementation of robust data systems. Responsibilities:
- Architecting scalable data pipelines and structures, ensuring compliance with standards for insight generation and reporting functionalities
- Championing data integrity throughout ingestion and transformation processes, establishing frameworks for consistent data quality management
- Leading the design of data access points for users and systems, including APIs, database views, and data extracts
- Directing the maintenance and evolution of data storage systems, such as data lakes and warehouses, optimizing for accessibility and performance
- Advising on data storage selection across diverse platforms, balancing requirements for privacy, accessibility, and data sensitivity
- Fostering team understanding of data lineage and transformations to expedite troubleshooting and impact assessments during data changes
- Collaborating with cross-functional leaders to refine data sourcing and processing, ensuring quality and efficiency in data operations
- Developing and executing data acquisition strategies, overseeing archive recovery, and leading database implementations and migrations
- Guiding critical issue resolution and sharing knowledge such as trends, aggregate, quantity volume regarding specific data sources
- Understanding the data sensitivity, customer data privacy rules and regulations and applies them consistently in all Information lifecycle management activities
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
- Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience working with Big Data ecosystems
- 8+ years of experience in end‑to‑end data engineering in building reliable data products
- 4+ years of experience in project delivery management
- Proven experience with:
- CI/CD implementation
- AI acceleration / AI‑assisted engineering
- Enterprise data lake and data warehouse platforms
- Demonstrated success in managing managers and senior‑level engineers
- Strong proficiency in Agile delivery frameworks
- Deep understanding of architectural design principles and patterns
- Experience handling large‑scale, complex, enterprise initiatives
Delivery & Technical Leadership
- Own end‑to‑end delivery of complex data engineering initiatives, ensuring quality, scalability, and timeliness.
- Take full accountability for solution delivery, leveraging strong understanding of data lineage, governance, and traceability.
- Lead enterprise data lake and data warehouse implementations across cloud and on‑prem platforms.
- Drive CI/CD adoption and accelerate solutions using AI/ML‑enabled engineering practices.
- Ensure adherence to modern architectural design patterns and engineering best practices.
- Supervise teams to deliver best‑in‑class, production‑grade implementations.
People & Organizational Leadership
- Manage and mentor managers and senior engineers, fostering high‑performance and accountability.
- Actively mentor individual career growth, enabling succession and leadership development.
- Plan and align team priorities with organizational goals and strategic outcomes.
- Exercise independent judgment and discretion in matters of significant technical and business impact.
- Build a culture rooted in integrity, trust, and ownership.

- Lead DevOps teams in rotational team shifts (12x7, wherever required)
- Lead teams using Agile methodologies, ensuring adaptability in complex and ambiguous conditions.

- Efficiently organize time, priorities, and dependencies across multiple initiatives.
- Continuously drive process improvement and innovation across delivery and operations.
