Manager, Project Management - Disaster Response & Engineering Ops
Job Summary
Responsible for planning, executing, and evaluating projects according to predetermined timelines and business objectives. Builds and manages project teams ensuring quality control throughout the project lifecycle. Accomplishes project objectives by planning and evaluating project activities. This position will support disaster management and engineering focused projects. This position is hybrid: Monday – Thursday, in-office and Friday, virtual.Job Description
Core Responsibilities
- Oversees critical engineering and operational projects, ensuring progress, providing status updates, monitoring delays, and implementing necessary adjustments.
- Collaborates with key stakeholders and senior leaders to define project requirements and establish clear objectives.
- Exercises independent decision-making and discretion in critical matters.
- Skilled at leveraging influence to obtain stakeholder approval and propelling project activities forward
- Creates and sustains detailed project documentation, including project plans, status updates, and risk evaluations.
- Ensures consistent communication with stakeholders, sharing updates on project progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years project management experience.
- Knowledge of telecommunications and construction or utility.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to a variety of stakeholders.
- Strong change management skills.
- Strong critical thinking or problem-solving skills.
- PMP/ProSci/CAPM certification.

Education
Bachelor's Degree
While possessing the stated degree is preferred, Comcast also may consider applicants who hold some combination of coursework and experience, or who have extensive related professional experience.
