Job Summary

DUTIES:
Perform different types of testing on software applications, including but not limited to black-box testing, GUI testing, back-end testing, functional testing, regression testing, compatibility testing, and smoke testing; triage and resolve software defects; create test plans and test documentation; use tools including Wireshark, Charles Proxy, Fiddler, and Roku proprietary tools for debugging and testing; use Jira, Rally, and Trello for project managing and defect reporting; use Confluence and Microsoft SharePoint to create Test Documentation, including Test Plans, Test Cases, Test Scripts, Test Reports, Traceability Matrix, also using Octane, Zephyr, and Test Rail; manage operating systems and applications, including Windows, MacOS, Roku OS, Android, and iOS; work within the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC); validate software solutions in various testing environments; contribute to the development of test strategies and the design of quality assurance practices; collaborate with other Engineers to identify, reproduce, document, and resolve software defects, bugs, or problems; maintain technical quality assurance and control systems and activities; utilize clearly defined standards, methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy and reliability of company products; assist product support areas in gathering and analyzing data; write and execute tests to validate products and software applications; contribute to the development of Quality Assurance test philosophies and methodologies; identify viable test strategies in order to support testing product functionality; collaborate with product and development teams to identify product and technical requirements; review and verify requirements and design specifications for validity in overall product design, with an emphasis towards product testability and verification; ensure proper execution of regression test procedures and automated test suites and scripts; participate in design, code and functional product reviews; and support trials of new infrastructure designs and services. Position is eligible to work remotely one or more days per week, per company policy.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, any Engineering, or related technical field, and two (2) years of experience testing software applications, and triaging and resolving software defects; creating test plans and test documentation; performing black-box testing; using tools including Charles Proxy for debugging and testing purposes; using Jira for project managing and defect reporting; using Confluence and Microsoft SharePoint for Test Documentation; of which one (1) year includes managing operating systems and applications, including Windows, Mac OS, Roku OS, Android, and iOS; and working within the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
