Job Summary

Responsible for the sales strategy of Comcast Business Global & Sky Business in Ireland. This will involve the establishment of Sky Business in Ireland, utilising Comcast Business Global’s suite of customer solutions aimed at the mid-to-large enterprise markets. Works as part of a team to drive sales by focusing on acquiring, developing, and managing strategic prospective clients in designated territories and market segments, while working closely with our partners to develop opportunities to win. Design and deliver live sales presentations to prospective strategic clients and existing clients, positioning the Comcast Business Global & Sky Business brands as a key component of the sales strategy. Has in-depth experience, knowledge and skills in the Irish market, selling direct and through indirect channel with sales experience with SDWAN, SASE, Security and UCaaS solutions. Usually determines own work priorities. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Job Description

Core Responsibilities

  • Creates and delivers face-to-face sales presentations to European, global strategic, and existing clients that demonstrate knowledge of the latest Comcast Business Global products and services. Sells with the goals of exceeding departmental financial and unit targets. Stays abreast of the competitive landscape and emerging technologies to best position Comcast Business Global Services/Sky Business in the marketplace.

  • Develops the strategy of the sales territory or segment, including identifying regional and strategic partnerships and planning the development of a territory or market segment. Actively researches and generates new leads with targeted carriers through various prospecting activities, including cold calling, canvassing, customer referrals and partner relationships. Actively seeks ways to promote and position the Comcast & Sky brand within the territory or segment.

  • Adds customers by delivering on the Comcast Business Global Services credo, ensuring a superior customer experience. Maintains and builds customer relationships to drive retention. Works with internal teams to ensure operational efficiencies and service levels meet and exceed customer expectations through a strong customer service orientation with excellent follow-up skills.

  • Maintains accurate and quality sales records and prepares sales and activity reports as required.

  • Attends out-of-the-office meetings with customers regularly and demonstrates excellent verbal and written skills and skills in presenting, persuading and negotiating.

  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.

Skills Required

  • Sales & Business Development - More than 5 years of experience in B2B sales expertise direct and indirect channels, strong skills in sales strategy development and execution. Ability to generate, qualify, and close opportunities (including cold calling and canvassing). Experience in face-to-face and virtual sales presentations. Negotiation and persuasion capabilities, pipeline and forecasting management.

  • Product & Market Knowledge - In-depth knowledge of SD-WAN, SASE, Cyber Security, UCaaS, and related technology services, strong understanding of telecoms and enterprise ICT landscape, familiarity with the Irish mid-to-large enterprise market and competitive positioning

  • Communication & Interpersonal - Excellent verbal and written communication, High-level presentation and proposal delivery skills, ability to build and maintain senior customer and partner relationships

  • Organisational & Analytical - Self-starter with strong prioritisation and time management skills, independent decision-making and judgment, strong follow-up and customer service orientation. Accurate record keeping and activity reporting

  • Collaboration & Teamwork - Collaborative mindset to work with internal cross-functional teams and external partners, ability to act as a mentor or resource for less experienced colleagues

  • Experience launching or scaling sales operations in a new market (preferred)

  • Background working with or for service providers, carriers, or system integrators (ideal)
